    Default Recommend me a soap

My final rotation is taking place. Here it is:

    -Tabac shaving soap
-Mama Bear's Aged Spice shaving soap
    -QED Lavender shaving soap
-My Time Bath & Body Menthol 10/10 shaving cream

I prefer strongly scented soaps. Even though soaps such as MWF or Cade, are excellent quality, I get board because the scents are not strong.

Would a woodsy soap be good? I like citrus scents, but I find none are that strong once lathered (I've tried both QED Wild Orange and QED Fresh lime). Right now I'm thinking my missing soap may be QED Pine & Cedarwood.

Or am I looking for a cream?

You do have a conundrum. The best performing soaps I would suggest are subtly scented (save for the Pens Blenheim and English Fern, but you can't get your hands on them now without a second mortgage). Mama Bear's Dublin Tweed is a great scent and different from the ones already in your rotation, but it might not be strong enough if you're looking for the intense scent. I think there may be a cream in your future, and would suggest Musgo Real.

Definitely D.R.Harris. Their quality is hard to beat. The Arlington soap is a personal favorite.

I think your current rotation is great. I would not change a thing.

If you like strong scents, your inclination toward QED Pine & Cedarwood is a good one. It was too strong for me, which means it might work well for you. I wish it was less intense, but I loved the scent -- it smelled like an early morning walk in the Adirondacks after a light summer rain.

Irisch Moos - Strong scent, tallow based, great performer
Safari by Ralph Lauren - Strong scent, tallow based, great performer
Palmolive - Terribly underrated, moderately-strong scent, tallow based, great performer
Arko - SUPER strong scent! Tallow based, great performer, another underrated soap

Another vote for DR Harris - Arlington for me though. Any Harris would be a good one.

I'll go out on a limb with Godrej De Luxe (cream)... gorgeous lanoliny (or is it tallow?) lather and a strongish woodsy-musky scent which is very nice and lingers a bit post-shave. Best of all, if you look around, it's quite inexpensive and maybe even available at an Indian grocery or convenience store near you.

Godrej is great, but it's not a soap. AND you need to try the menthol mist! Amazing.

Thanks guys. I may go with the QED. I had Marlborough and Arlington and sold both because neither was scented strongly.

You could also try QED Special 218. The main scent I get is pine, but it has floral notes as well.

If you are into strong scents, you are missing on vetiver. You might start with QED Vetiver.

I did not find it that strong, honestly.

Does Castle Forbes make soaps? Their scents are intense and excellent, so that might work for you...
