WOW!! I cannot believe that there is a site out there like this...and that I just now found it!!! It's great to see so many of us out there.
I have a technique question it looks like you guys can help me with. But first a little background.
I have always been a wet shaver I guess. When I first started shaving around 15 or 16 (I am in my 30s now) I worked in a department store that had a perfume counter. One day they got a shaving brush and mug in from ralph lauren to sell with their safari fragrance. I immediately bought it (with my discount of course) and that was what I used for 10 years, along with a mach 3 razor.

In 2002 I decided to upgrade the tools and bought a Simpson Chubby 3 in super and a Merkur hd safety razor. For the last 4 years I never looked back.

So My question now is.... When I shave I have no problem getting the closeness I want on my cheeks and neck. I can even get it with only one pass usually. But my chin I have to really work at. Eventually it cuts but it seems like it takes 4 or more passes and a whole lot of pulling and stretching to get it. Is this normal? Should I be looking at a different razor? If so can anyone make some recomendations to me?
Thanks in advance for your replys and I am really enjoying this site.
