Default Great Forum and Great Shave!

First off, thanks a lot for all the info, I have been learning a lot the past two weeks. I shave everyday and decided I want to enjoy it! I read up and watched all the Mantic videos, great stuff. I decided to get a Merkur HD Classic with Derby blades. I have an AOS set of pre shave, cream and post shave Sandalwood, which I like a lot, I also have TOBS Sandalwood cream which I think is my new favorite. Had 10 shaves so far and today was the best shave, finally got a great lather (by starting with not enough water and slowly adding, in a mug) and did 2 WTG and 1 ATG and it was awesome! I think the tub of cream will last forever but I am excited to try some new scents...

Do most of you wait until a tub runs out or do you have a few that you use?
    Any good samplers out there?

    Thanks!
    Scott

Welcome! It sounds like you're off to a great start.

As for other scents... no need to limit yourself to just one cream with all the variety out there, it's a shame to limit yourself. Then, there are the soaps! Most of us have several products through which we rotate by one scheme or another.

    Welcome to B&B!

+1 on Geo F Trumpers sample pack. Good stuff for cheap.

As Rich said, you could wait or get more soaps/creams. I must have 12 creams at the moment and around 8-10 soaps.

Thanks for all the input, I think I want to try a lavender and a rose. I think I will try the Trumpers. I have never looked forward to shaving so much!

Welcome to B&B. I usually use Proraso, but I have several that I'll use whenever the mood strike's me. Do whatever works for you, and don't be afraid to try something different. Thats the fun of this shaving thing.

Many of us have more soaps, creams, and other shaving related products than we'll ever use. Variety is the spice of life (right next to cumin and lemon pepper in my cabinet).
