Old TV - New Movie

A lot of chatter recently about the new GI Joe movie, that cartoon was not even around when I was a kid, but it got me to thinking about some of the other movies that have originated with TV shows, like the new Star Trek Movie, Get Smart, The Saint, Addams Family etc. - even the moronic disaster that was called "Bewitched".

What old series TV show do you think would make a great movie today?

Maybe Combat? Vic Morrow, God rest his soul.

The Time Tunnel - I dream of Jeannie - even the riotously hilarious BBC comedy Fawlty Towers, which was much later in the timeline from the others mentioned above.

What do you think? Why would your choice be a great movie?

Time Tunnel would be a good one. Another one would be The Wild Wild West.... just please, please no Will Smith this time.

Time Tunnel would be very cool. As far as The Saint it was originally a series of movies in the 40's and 50's. I never knew that until a few weeks ago when they had a few on Turner Classic Movies. I love that channel!

in theory, i would like to see The Prisoner, but in real life...it would be total crap, like all remakes - lots of CGI effects and no strong main idea.

Dino-riders!!! Basically it's a cartoon where you have dinosaurs with lasers attached to their heads!!

How about some of those Westerns like "Bonanza", "Rifleman", or "Guns of Will Sonnet"?
