Default PIF - British Aluminum Tech

    PIF'D
No minimum or maximum post counts - just say that you've never used a tech before and it's yours. CONUS only please.

I received this razor as a PIF from Highball last year and it has been one of my favorites. So much so, that I bought another one for myself and I want to share this one with someone else.

Looks much better in real life than it does in these photos.

Sending PM, thanks so much fo the offer! All the Techs I've come across have always been sad sack antique store finds, and I've always passed on them...

Wow, awesome! This razor started off most likely in the UK, made its way to Australia at some point, ended up with Buckler, it went to Washington, to highball, to Texas to Rob, and now to California. This little baby's got some miles on it! I'll be sure to keep up the Tale of the Travelling Tech, and see if when I PIF it along I can get it to someone in the UK. If it makes it around the world, and back home some godknowshowmany years after it's birth that would be really cool...

Ok, time to PIF this little bugger onward to lands anew...

I cleaned it up with some Maas polish, and it looks awesome. Very mild shaver (too mild for my blood), and I only used it two or three times. I need to clear some shelf space, so I am passing it on to the next guy. To be eligible:

    * You must NOT be in the CONUS (crazy, huh?) - South America, Africa, or Asia is the preferred destination.
    * Must adhere to Rob's original requirements (never used one before, no minimum number of posts, etc.).
    * Must not have any intention of keeping it for very long, and must not be sold.
    * Must agree to PIF it along to some place it has never been...the farther away from you, the better.
    * Must agree to cover the shipping costs yourself once you pass it on...this is a karma PIF, lol. (besides, it doesn't weigh a damn thing...).
    * If you REALLY want it, but are not eligible due to not meeting one of the above requirements, then it can still be yours for a donation to B&B - whatever you can afford. All I ask is that you do PIF it eventually.

This offer will be open to all...simply post here that you want to play and why you would be a good candidate, and I will PM the winner and post it here. I plan on offering this until Tuesday, Feb. 16th. Have at it!

I'm not eligible (already got one ) but I applaud this PIF!

British Techs are really nice, mild mannered razors...I tend to use mine now if I just need a quick touch-up shave the next day

Did anyone register this as a "frequent flyer"? Would be nice to see it's airmiles statement

Fantastic! I love razors with a history.
I don't qualify (please don't consider me), but approve whole-heartedly!

Man, it looks even better after a little elbow grease and polishing...the pics that are in Rob's original post show it in it's unpolished state, but now it is really shiny. It's in damn near collectible state now...

This Tech sure gets around, good to see it pop up again. You don't see many 4th generation PIF's
