Exactly! But what I actually wasted when I filled it was far less than 10%. Like you say, either way, you don't have to worry about it.

Well, finally did my first decant. Osage Rub in a very very clean / empty bottle of Crystal Hot Sauce...

Looks really good in the glass Crystal bottle.
    Cheers-

I decanted my ViJon Spice into a vintage Shulton Old Spice bottle but for my Witch Hazel (Family Dollar Brand) I used one of the GREEN Tabasco bottles. I cleaned it up and removed the label and residue. In my opinion the green bottles are better looking than the clear ones.

    Default glass bottles?

so some of my favorite scents come in plastic bottles, which isnt the best for keeping them. where do I get the bottles to decant them into? could I use a vinegar bottle? or some other easy to obtain glassware.

"Crystal" brand hot sauce has a nicely shaped glass bottle. It can be found in most any grocery store in several different sizes. Just be sure to rinse throughly after the hot sauce is removed. And I do mean throughly!!!

Vinegar bottles well rinsed work great. Until I found a couple of vintage glass Lilac Vegetal bottles, I decanted into two 12 oz. vinegar bottles.

I think you posted about picking up some LV?? If you do, get it into glass as soon as you can. It's much better after you do so--that plastic bottle seriously degrades it.

Tabasco bottles work great for travel size A/S containers..Save up a few and you'll have glass for your trips...Perfect size!

Buy an aftershave that is already in a glass bottle (I recommend the greatness of Spieck), have pleasure of using up contents of bottle (ooooo....), refill bottle.

I found these at Pier 1 Imports yesterday. They don't list a volume, but they looked as though they'd hold a standard 100ml decant. They are also made of recycled glass which I find to be a plus. $12 for the set.

I buy the pretty Green cut glass Rice wine Vinegar bottles for $1.53 at the Grocery Store use the Vinegar to freshing up the Gargage Disposal and then I clean them and use them for decanting.

Louisiania Hot Sause has a nice bottle in the 16 oz size.

I'll add that the Proraso ASB and splash bottles are pretty nice (though the caps are now more plasticky than the older hard plastic/ceramic/whatever they were were). That's what I keep my Skin Bracer in. Looks pretty spiffy.

Aqua Velva bottles are interestingly shaped (and the marketing stuff is just a plastic peel-off label), but the cheap caps really turn me off.

I bought some glass bottles with a pourer spout that were intended for oil and vinegar dressing. I think they were about $2 each at Wally World

I have one of those for my Clubman, My LV is in an antique bottle from E-bay and I just put my Bay Rum in a bottle SWMBO brought home today.
She was in T.J. Maxx and they had a bunch of the Reed Diffuser liquid incense sets for a few bucks each.
She bought one and I dumped the scented liquid washed it out and now it's my Bay Rum bottle.
Pretty nice for 3 bucks, it's 8 oz size and looks like this one (clear glass)

Nice. I wonder what kind of spillage there will be.

Hey....that bottle looks a little like a Patron tequila bottle, except the Patron has a cork stopper. But of course, one would have to find some way to dispose of all of that tequila first.
