Default Great shave with The Real Shave CO cream.

I picked up some of The Real Shaving Co's daily facial scrub and their moisturizing shave cream yesterday on clearance at Rite Aid for $2.50 ea.
I used the scrub in the shower and was impressed with the results. My beard felt really soft after my shower. I have used a few different scrubs (Nivea, CO Bigelow...) and none ever left my beard feeling this soft!
After my shower I whipped up some lather using the moisturizing shave cream. the lather was a little bit thinner then im used to and the smell wasn't the greatest but lathered up and did a 3 pass shave. I was amazed at the result I got one of the best shaves ive had since switching over to a DE. Nearly BBS, zero irritation and my face wasn't dried out at all! I don't know if it was the combination of the scrub and cream that gave me such a good shave? Ill use these products a few more times this week and report back. Anyone else have a good experience with either of these products?? BTW all Real Shave Co products are on clearance at Rite Aid marked down to $2.50! I hope this doesnt mean that they are going to discontinue it? That would just be my luck, find a product that works good for a decent price and they always get discontinued!

I like the Moisturizing Shave Cream.

I found what you did...didn't create a lather I wanted to write a sonnet about, scent was no great shakes, but performance was quite good.

I'd be sorry to see it leave the Rite-Aid shelf, but a lot of retailers are cutting back on inventory due to the sluggish economy.

I have found the Shaving Cream to perform equally to TOBS. The scent is kind of MEH, and nothing to be praised, but I have no other complaints. The lather is of the same denseness as TOBS too, at least for me.

The Facial Scrub I found to be the biggest waste of $5.00 ever. I get no joy in using a product that feels like I am rubbing sandpaper all over my face. ICK!! No thank you!! The product literally has ground up bits of walnuts in it!!

Interesting i love the facial scrub and enjoy the harshness of its scrubbing action.. tyical YMMV :)

I have used the moisturising shave cream twice and really like it although the smell is not over exciting.. im working my way through many crems and soaps but this is near the top of the list..

TRSC one of my favourites, good thick lather and I really like the scent.

I'm posting this as I grab car keys. If TRSC is going from Rite Aid, that's a loss for locally-available, great performing creams. TRSC is one of my very favorites. My sense of smell isn't the greatest, so I find it very much OK (in a very good sense). Kind of woodsy. I seriously will clean the shelves at my local Rite Aid.

Clearance usually means they are discontinuing it. Might be time to stock up!

The Rite-Aid over here still has plenty of them on the shelves. They're going for $4.99.

For those of you that have tried them... what is the major difference between the "Moisturizing" vs "Sensitive" ? Is one better than the other when it comes to performance or scent?

The Real Shave Co. products have been marked down for a while now up here in Canada.
Not sure what it means, just happen to notice it ...

The Real Shaving Company has been repackaged here in the UK and all the product in the old packaging is available in Poundland stores. I plundered my local Poundland for the creams and balms, but after trying the facial scrub I left that on the shelves, it's horrible. I think the moisturising and sensitive creams both work well and the balm is right up there with Nivea in terms of performance. I have enough to last me several months, but I won't hesitate to buy it at full price in the new packaging when I run out.

BTW it's made by Creightons, the same people who make TOBS and the Body Shop cream.

I have just bought 2 tubes as the price was so low but if a company change the packaging they usually sell off existing stock low, i have tried both versions and nothing hits me they were much different to be honest though i have been using thier hot towel face product for a few years and that has changed from a brown gritty cream to a white smooth cream!

I picked up a tube of the Sensitive last week. So far I've gotten very good shaves with it. But the scent is a major letdown. I had the same experience with The Body Shop Maca Root, another cream made by Creighton. They're great performers, but I just do not like their scents.

I miss Poundland, but I have picked up the new traditional version in Boots and two Sensitive Natural Grooming SC's on a recent trip back home to the UK. I have only used the RSC a few times but I think the TBS Maca Root is far better, it's a shame in Holland it's twice the UK price .

I find these creams to lather exceptionally well. They are really cheap here in Canada.
