TABAC Question

Is the stuff in the sticks the same as you get in the 4.4oz pot? if so - can it be 'treated' / adapter / melted in some way to transfer from the sticks to pot use? Seem,s silly to keep paying our for new jars and they are not readily available any way.

Not sure I understand what you're saying but why not just order a refill puck for the jar you have?

Or you can grate any soap with the almighty cheese grated to get it to fit into any container!

I've heard the stick is slightly different. Also, you can just buy refills (as stated above).

The stick slightly different...?? I doubt it. In any case, you can obtain refills for the ceramic bowl. You can also grate the stick into the bowl if you want. I recommend against nuking the soap: it isn't glycerin-based.

Different in what way? I really like Tabac and was thinking about picking up a stick.

I really don't know. I could have sworn I heard someone mention it at one point in time.

Well, IMHO it is a little different. The stick's scent seems stronger on the floral side. Or maybe I just got an older puck in the first place...

Where the hell do I get replacement pucks in the UK? Tried that one with not a lot of joy!! Got 2 bowls ( one unused ) but can't seem to get the pucks anywhere here.

Delivery time?
My daughter bought some beauty stuff from the US and had to pay twice the price in import tax etc. Does that apply to this?

Edit - looks like I may be OK if the order stays under £18 - Robbing ^($%$^^_

I have both the soap in bowl and the stick - and use both on a regular basis; I have noticed no diffrence between them, neither as to scent nor performance.

The ingredients of the puck and the stick are the same, no difference whatsoever.

assuming that the make up of puck and stick IS the same .................

Can I transfer stick to bowl somehow (shavings / melting ) as I was finding it difficult to source the replacement pucks in the UK.

Hopefully not an issue now but would still be interested to know if / how this can be done without ruining the soap.
