my granddad has been using Kapo since I can remember. The rest are new to me.

I'd like to know how the Kapo shave cream works for you as I haven't tried it myself.

    Spasiba to you too.

I just got back from 3 weeks in Russia 2 days ago and I can say I tried some Sasha Dilis forest smelling aftershave. It burning like fire, but only cost a dollar. I also used some nicer aftershave that looked like their version of pinaud, but smelled rather nice - like a sauna with that cedar and eucalyptus smell. I also lucked out and found some feather blades selling for only a dollar a 5 pack.

Indeed, Shaving Products cab be quite cheap in Russia and ex Soviet states.
When I will use the shaving cream, I will surely let you know.

Today I will go to search for more products. In case I will find more, I will post here.

By the way if I remember the good aftershave I used was called кащти. Maybe mispelled a bit, but can't remember exactly.

Today I shaved for first time with the Kapo Shaving Cream and I can only say that this cream is stunning! Great smooth lather, and great shaving result. and the price? it was just around 0.90 Eurocents!

    +1

Kapo is great. A bit old fashioned scent-wise but great!

Today I shaved with the Following:

    TET-A-TET (Shaving Cream)
Russian After Shave (The dark Green bottle from the photo)

I am very surprised of the quality of these products! Great lather that leaded to a stunning BBS shave. Moreover, the After Shave performed better than expected!

The price of these two it was around 2.3 Euro, which makes me think why sometimes we spend 25+ euro for a soap of a high end brand :)

    Best,
    Thomas

Found Kapo shave cream here http://www.whiteningcream.biz/Shavin...eam%20KAPO.htm. They must be making a fortune at $17.00 a tube and a second at half price.

Luc, weren't you looking for some of this Russian stuff some time ago?

    Ever find any?

Nick Rivers: Hillary. That's an unusual name.
Hillary Flammond: It's a German name. It means 'she whose bosoms defy gravity'.
Nick Rivers: I'm pleased to meet you. My name's Nick.
Hillary Flammond: Nick? What does that mean?
Nick Rivers: Oh, nothing. My dad thought of it while he was shaving.

Wow! I bought it for less than a Euro! If I knew I would buy dozens and send to all B&B members for free :)

Yes I was... I didn't find any. I was mainly after shaving soap (which seems nonexistent) or shaving cream (that is unavailable outside Russia).

I settled for the Bulgarian cream Kapo. It's not Russian but I think I won't get any closer. I even went to the Russian community in Melbourne (They have an association) and the Ambassy... No luck! Next step is to get a plane ticket to Russia.

By the way, just to be completely obnoxious :) - it's actually "Karo", not "Kapo". The "p" is an "r" in Cyrillics and "Karo" means "diamonds" in Bulgarian, as in the playing cards. That also explains the graphics on the tube.

    Trust me. It's "Karo".
