Living with Tabac

The scent of Tabac is not by any means bad, it's just an acquired taste. Stick with it, and in time you'll learn to love it. No, seriously. You will!

Yes.

Personally, I loved TABAC from the start. There is something indescribeable about the scent that hints at some forgotten memory from childhood, while at the same time giving you the 70's disco vibe backbeat.

Yes, you could choose to try Irish Moos. It is a fine soap, but lacks complexity. IM, in my estimation is simply a potent odor of Irish Spring soap.

My impresions of the soaps:

TABAC, with attitude

I've read the comments from people who describe its smell as 'pumpkinlike' of other. To me, it smells like an old barn crowded with horses, cows, sheep, badgers and boars that have just come in from the rain.

You, sir, have clearly never been in such a barn. :001_smile

I've decided to let Tabac live, but I've chose not to live with it. Even tough it's a good soap (I think there are better ones), I've sold it to another member and I've been very happy with our split up. We were just not made for each other.

I have been using the Tabac Cologne as an aftershave substitute and absolutely love the scent.

I thought I'd try the soap and decided to go for the stick version. The Tabac shaving stick is to die for. Any description of its latherability I could make would echo the best comments above.

Try it!

I remember the first time I was given a shot of Scotch. I tasted like deisel oil to me. Now I love my single malts. I think they call it an aquired taste.

Same here! My first taste was of a toxic, plastic, bandaids-like, liquid which should not be swallowed. Now I taste chocolate!

I've yet to try the Tabac, though!

The smell of Tabac mellows out after a while. It's not my favorite scent, but it's not bad. grossed me out at first, very old man-ish. Alot of the people on here who love the scent are old men :tongue_sm

If 23 is considered old then yeah i'm an old man :001_cool:

After awhile you don't even think about the scent. All that will matter is the great lather and shave.

You see, the question isn't "how can you live with Tabac?", but rather... how can you live without it?

Telecaster52 is right, though, living with Tabac is like living in a retirement home. Except instead of being old and retired, you're at the peak of your youth and ruler of the world, and you have a rocket powered dinosaur that takes you wherever you want to go.

:w00t:

Would you mind if I used this stroke of genius as my signature?

Be my guest!

The original quote was from "Apocalypse Now" when Robert Duval said "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning. It smells like victory." Tabac/Napalm, Napalm/Tabac, Victory/BBS, BBS/Victory, yea Tabac!!!:lol::thumbup::lol::thumbup:
