Creed Original Vetiver
Czech & Speake #88
Sickly sweet and cloying for my liking, however most ladies I know enjoy it.
I would tread with trepidation on this one. Due to its popularity every male teenager used this along with Cool Water...
Acca Kappa - Tub
Creed GIT or Vetiver
The ADP Cream & Colonia have been sold.
I have for sale the following;
L'Occitane Shave Soap - 60% remaining $20
Acqua Di Parma Shave Cream - 90% remaining $40
AOS Lavender Shave Cream - 70% remaining $20
I was fortunate to get a sample of Creed Vetiver Shave Soap, which is wonderful, and I'm now looking to purchase some for myself. The only problem being I'm in Australia
Reformulation = kills love, reputations & reverence.
MWF & D.R Harris are probably the best of the remaining British soaps, and for the price, their are better soaps on the market.
Special thanks to sarimento1 for the offer of the Creed Vetiver, greatly appreciated.
Many thanks ATL Jack. I must admit I had to do a double take myself. I purchased two jars of the AdP during a sale, and this has been sitting in my draw for at least 3 months. It seems to have...
I have a full tub of AdP which I would like to trade for Creed Original Vetiver soap. If you want to trade please DM.
Happy to throw in the following to sweeten the deal;
Yes, that first lather shot was after less than a minute or so of work. I worked the lather for another 30 secs, which is the second shot.
The lather this morning was a lot easier to get going,...
Shaved with it this morning, and am very impressed. Not quite as moisturising as some soaps, but fits and holds it own to others I rate very highly such as SMN, AdP, CF, AOS (Tallow), I Coloniali &...
Well it finally arrived! I rushed home to whip up a lather.
Soaked my brush, then squeezed and shook out the excess water. Loaded the brush for 30 secs, then added small amounts of water on three...
What he said
As they say, resistance is futile.
I caved in and purchased the soap (shipping from UK to Australia), Once it arrives I'll be happy to provide pics, if someone doesn't beat me to it in the...
Do we have any pics of the lather the new Sartorial is producing??
I'm in the market for a new soap. I've been eyeing off the Czech & Speake 88 for quite sometime.
Given its price point, and the tallow, I want to get some idea of its lather.
Can anyone give...
Unfortunately not. I ordered a tub from the Italian Barber (old formulation) which has been nothing short of sublime. I've been trying to get another tub, however its out of stock (awaiting new...
Thanks gentlemen, greatly appreciate the feedback.
I recently bought 100 blades of 'Personna Blue' blades from a local vendor. These came in a zip bag and noted as old stock. They shave superbly, and I'm curious as to know what type of...
I's looking that way, plus Stirling. BTW gentlemen, what containers best fit Stirling soaps?
I've recently been able to get my hands on the wonderful PannaCrema, and its performance has been nothing short of astounding. Its right up there with some the best products around IMO, such as AdP,...
Acqua Di Parma
I create my lather in a bowl. I've tried face lathering numerous times, and find I get better results with the bowl.
It may in fact be a lack of 'skill', I just find there is far too much time...
I'm curious to know a bit more about the new fragrance SMN has with its reformulation. People mention it has more of a Tobacco fragrance to it, does this mean it smells like Tabac? Can anyone who...
As I promised, here's an update on finding an alternate blade. It has taken a while to get my hands on some Gillette 7o'clock blacks, and I can see why!
This blade is superb. Super sharp,...
It's very true, like many products, its YMMV, and I appreciate all the great feedback.
I must admit I've tried various blades, Derby, Feather, Astra, Merkur etc when first starting, however the...
I believe they are the Tesco blades John Refers to here http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/51858-The-Official-Guide-to-Israeli-Made-DE-Blades?highlight=Personna+blades
Made in Israel in...
Thought I would provide an update based on the recommendations provided.
I ordered two differing brands, namely the Crystals and Gillette 7o'clock black blades. When the Crystals arrived...
Thanks guys, I might give the Crystals & Vikings a go.
I'm after an alternative to Personna Reds. I previously had the old packaged Reds, which were fantastic. Having recently purchased a new packet, with new packaging and trying several...
I recently received a batch of the new packaged 'Israeli blades' that Zbig posted.
Had my first shave with them this morning, which was a shocker. I have a bad case of razor burn. I'm not going...
Keep it, its wonderful stuff.
If, on the odd chance, change your mind, DM me and I'll be more than happy to buy it from you.
I also found when breaking in the puck, that slow swirls of the brush for a longer period (up to minute or more) helped significantly. Once the puck is broken in, its a lot easier to get a...
Used to, but don't anymore.
Acca Kappa in the tub is superb, the only other cream/croap that gets anywhere near it's performance is Acqua Di Parma.
No brainer, AOS
Great idea! I must admit the warmer weather has been a killer of late.
I'll have to try this with my SMN (simialr to proraso) and I Coloniali whcih also has a slight menthol kick.
Please report back on its performance.
+1 on the AdP, its great stuff.
