Thought I would ask here, knowing a handful of you guys are knife enthusiasts. I have lots of vintage Gillette razors, nice and clean, wanting to trade for a Victorinox Alox Cadet in good shape. If...
It's been a long time! I went to the dark side for a while and sported a beard. Now that its starting to get hot out, I'm back. To celebrate my return to looking like a gentleman, I went fishing at a...
Thanks for the help guys, I will go back tomorrow and get it. I'll post some pictures after I clean it up.
I came across a gold Fatboy at a local antique shop. It looks and works good. They seller was asking $40 for the razor, no case and needs some cleaning. I didn't know much about the razor so I...

Here is a picture of the German copy from 1909 made by Luna.291045
Both were bought on 10-18-2012 in Detroit, Michigan. The one in the red case is from 1904. It has pat.nov.1504 and # 38815. The other one is from 1905. Same pat.nov.1504 with #236598. Thanks for the...
I also have a German copy made in 1909 by Luna razor co. It was bought at the same resale shop that I found the two double rings.
I have two that I found at the same resale shop. I haven't registered them yet, I don't know how. Can someone help me do that? I can take some pictures if you need them.
My first car was a 1993 Mitsubishi Expo. It was given to me in 2001 with 230,000 miles on it. With a little TLC the thing ran great. My friends called it the can because it was a mix between a car...

The first picture is what it started with. I found the razor at a garage sale for $5 and a shave set and from Wally World for under $15. The aqua velva was bought at drugstore for $7. After a few...

Thanks for the help guys, I will post about the project when it done.
Buy them all and share with B&B!
I have a project in mind but need some advice. I am a huge Detroit Tigers fan and wanted to make a game day razor for when I go to the games. I have a Gillette New long comb with a common bar handle...
I have a lot of vintage Gillettes laying around.
Sorry B&B, I only won $4, I can't afford to buy everyone a razor. But I can buy myself a stick of Arko.
A radio for the bathroom :thumbup1:..... You could have your kids make him something, like a blade bank.
I just came across this on a website and was going to post about it!
The glass is half full, my friend!
I'm a big nerd, the first thing I thought when dreaming of winning this lottery was, "Imagine the shave den/ bathroom you could build with that kind of money"
If I win the PowerBall I'm buying every member a razor!
I have used a super speed for about two weeks and thought it was a perfect razor to learn a good technique with. The Star's head looks similar to a tech so I'm guessing its a smooth razor as well. I...
I'm really excited to give her a try however I'm in somewhat of a pickle. I just received my first new razor on Sunday, a Merkur 34c! I only have one face.
Here are the pictures from the auction site blown up. The second razor is a star razor made in USA.
Last week I was lurking around a well known auction site. I came across two razors with a starting bit of $25. One of the razors looked like a Fatboy. By the time I could read the description the...

I used to love using pre shave oil, now not so much. I guess I just use better soaps.
That's great. I would trade all my razors for a heirloom razor, unfortunately none have come up.

I just got done cleaning my 1904 Double Ring, dated 1904, #38815. Wow did it turn out great. I used baking soda and tin foil and polished off with a little bit of Flitz. With it being close to...
Thank you, I started soaking in warm water with dish soap. Then a bunch of baths, I think 5, using the baking soda and tin foil method. Then a light polish using Flitz and a polishing cloth.
Bahaha.... Roller Blading! I like it.
