I would recommend Cella and Tabac. Both are easy to lather and do a good job of protecting your face.

I've done the DE with a can thing. Barbasol worked OK. Gels were horrible.

After finishing 3 red tubs of Cella I have become a Cellaholic. My other favorite soap Tabac has become lonely.

I think my next purchase will be a brick of Cella.

I have been using my Merkur 34C for over 2 years now. Each shave becomes better as my Technique improves.
