It was pretty close. :yesnod:
This isn't lather. This is art.
Pathology results came back today. All good. Can't wait to do it again in 3 years. :thumbup1:
Just had my first colonoscopy on Feb. 19th. 4 polyps removed. Doc said not to sweat the next 10 days waiting for pathology. Should have results Monday. When they wheeled me in the Doc had J. Geils...
An important thread revisited.
Also, I am scheduled.
Good idea. It took me a while to dial it in but once you find the sweet spot you will be happy with the Fat.
I'll venture a guess and say about 50-60 shaves. Grating it shortens the lifespan of a puck, imo. Great soap though.
I view that sweater as a trendy piece of fashion that may be relegated to the back of your closet by the time next spring rolls around. Do you see yourself wearing that sweater a couple of years from...
Take a look at www.CuffArt.com.
It was the first single malt scotch I ever had some ten years ago or more. Still a fave. Received a bottle as a gift this past X-mas that I have yet to get to. When I started drinking this scotch...
I would have asked him if he would take two fives instead of a ten. When he said yes, I would have hit him with a right and then a left.
I'm kidding of course. You did just fine, Mike.
After re-reading this thread, I think the time has come to begin my first CB of 2014. :yesnod:
Some words of wisdom from our pally, Dino:
"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They wake up in the morning and that's the best they're going to feel all day."
"If you drink, don't drive....
I can see a year of DR Harris is in my future. Congrats.
I have been using MdC for the last several days now and I am enjoying it. Does anyone think the MdC jar is not the most conducive soap...
The MdC is one dense soap. I can see it going every bit of 128 days, 17 hours, 28 minutes and 37 seconds.
Since I finished my last 3017 soap, I have been alternating between a puck of NOS Old Spice and MdC.
Wow. That was fantastic. Congrats to the winner.
brucered = classy :thumbup1:
I'm speechless. (and that doesn't occur very often).
In a word... Outstanding.
That's not a bad idea.
No brushes were harmed during the 3017 treatment.
The brushes listed below were the ones that did the bulk of the work. As for the Top 5, I would say that the Duke 3 and the "56" from the Fifty Series were my two favorite brushes to use. After...
Over the years, 23 brushes were utilized. 10 of the 23 did the bulk of the work.
Of the 23, I still have 14 of them.
As for unsung heroes, I don't think I really strayed very far from the tried and true soaps. I don't think there are any surprises when I say that DR Harris and AoS were the best of the bunch.
A year of DR Harris sounds enticing.
The journey that began on January 1, 2010 ended almost 4 years to the day. On December 31, 2013, the...
Congratulations to one of the true gents on this site.
The remaining ring of Pen's Engish Fern fell out of the bowl yesterday. Today, it will be pressed into the Ayars Bowl for the homestretch. :scooter:
Another website I did not need to see.
But, I'm glad I did. Thanks Henry.
As the year winds down, there is still no sign of the elusive Alden Ravello chukka boot. Nose to the grindstone in 2014. :yesnod:
Looks very similar to the Trench boot by Oak Street Bootmakers out of Chicago or they may be a pair of Aldens, although I don't recognize the model offhand.
Check out www.theshoemart.com
I started this puck on October 6th and only used my Somerset Duke 3 which can apply a hurtin' on a soap. Recently, I have been alternating with the EJ Medium Silvertip so as not to kill this puck so...
Pen's EF Tallow 1st. Going... Going...
Last night... New York Strips...
Awesome. Nice work! :thumbup1:
I would say that the Pen's English Fern will be added...
That's a trait you don't see around here too often.
I think NB does a nice job with their bar soaps and I like their shampoo as well.
When I used creams, NB Signature was always in the rotation.
Out of all the comments I read regarding the DR Harris soaps, I find the Marlborough is the most maligned for its scent. I quite enjoy it. How about you , David?
My puck of Pen's EF is quite...
The design of the Carmina's appears to be a little more sophisticated. I like the stitching on the side of the Carmina's shoe as it gives a sleeker silhouette to the shoe because the...
Like Bob, it took a couple of days to dial in the EF but now it is moving along. Really enjoying it.
