Thanks Alex but I forgot to mention that it's super adjustable. Is there any documentation on tearing those apart?
My collection kept the bills paid and food on the table while I was stuck in a real rough patch last year. What's left (a sizable portion) will go to the local museum some day so I know they will be...
Few blades beat the mid-70's version of the Gillette Blue Blade (if you can find them). But my stand-by blade is the Astra SP which is available for about $13 USD on ebay for 100 blades (free...
Hey everybody!
I've been so busy these past months I barely had time to breathe. I try to stop by and read the latest goings-on but it's a hit or miss kind of thing.
Anyways, my daily shaver is...
Here is a close up of the Mikron on it's highest setting. That's got to be the most vicious blade gap I've ever seen on a double edge razor.

The Apollo Mikron set wide open has one helluva bite! Wish I still had that one :-(

Sweet! Gotta love finding something like that in the wild. Puts you in the clouds for days! Congrats dude! That's a great looking Executive.
Very nice cleanup indeed! It can be tricky sometimes telling soap scum crud from plate loss. That rocket looks amazing. I need to find one of those!
Congrats!
It would be easy to identify the gold one if you post a pic but the knurling (the grippy nubs on the handle) are slightly different on the gold plated "fatboy" (really marketed as the Executive).
...
Correct. The 195 "fat boy" only came in nickel. Gillette produced a gold version briely, call the Executive. It was almost identical except for the gold plating and the knurling was the same as they...
Congrats! Nice finds. The Z3 (3rd quarter 1954) was the first year that Gillette produced the flare-tipped Super Speed. I also have a Z3. Now you got me thinking about it. I think I will use it in...
Very cool, Dhilip. Glad you are enjoying that Big Fellow. I found it too hefty and awkward for me.
That seriously sucks they tossed your blade. The wrapper is cool but it's only half the value. I...
Very nice set! I agree with MacDaddy. The blade boxes are from a later period.
What I would be stoked about though would be those red ring blades. Those are insanely rare!!!
Awesome snag for an...
Can anybody help me identify this case? I can't find any examples of this case anywhere else. I am not even sure if it's the right razor.
I've seen a couple of examples like it but the pattern on...
Whoa. Not one, but two, gold rockets in excellent condition. How lucky you are!
BTW, that's actually a '46 - '47 Aristocrat. The '48 to '50' came in a larger clamshell case and had only one smooth band on the handle.
Nice snag, Kinge. I like it!
Does anybody know what the term "Coronation" means?
Edit: I should say, "What did Gillette mean by the term"?
Nice pieces! My favorite is the gold and black super adjustable. I have one and it's my daily go-to razor!
OH, Suggy! You hit the motherload alright. I see an Open Comb Aristocrat and a sweet looking gold Super Adjustable. Keep an eye out and you might just find a red dot or a Toggle!
Congrats!!
The President is sold!
Sure, I can ship to the UK. The additional cost would vary depending on weight. I would only charge for the actual cost of shipping. If you know what you want, I can easily calculate shipping. Which...
The '58 Executive is now sold. Thanks Mark!
They are still available for the time being. You know you want 'em ;-)
Reduced prices on the 1958 Executive set to $200 and the Double Ring set to $350. Lots of items left folks!
The Big Fellow Set has been sold. Lots of items still available folks!
ATTENTION! Reduced prices on Fatboy, Executive, President and Double Ring set!
Thanks Marty. I am very glad to hear you are enjoying that Aristocrat.
What are the odds of two "Hammers" posting Big Fellows side by side on the BST?! LOL.
Nice pieces though. GLWTS!
Hey everyone,
Some of these items appeared in my last listing at the end of October, so they are now marked down by at least 20% (some even more) as per BST rules. I have added a few more pieces...
Looks like an Apollo razor. The others are two Super Speeds from the 1950's and a 60's Super-Speed.
This listing is still active folks with quite a few pieces left.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Now accepting Paypal payments!

LOL! Nothing like topping that learning curve, eh? Have fun with it.
Crap. Take that back. Apparently it works in both modes. What they don't have is an icon in the toolbar for doing strikethroughs so you have to manually type the tags out yourself.

It's a little tricky but look in the editor window and you will see a row of icons. Click the very first icon in the top row (may only be one row). That switches the editor to Source Mode. You can...
Thanks for the kind comments everybody. Everyone has been so supportive and wonderful. Everything I have come to expect from the fine members of B&B!
Also, if you think the prices are off on...
Believe me, I wouldn't be selling my collection if it weren't necessary. It's one of the hardest things I have ever had to do
In the interest of brevity, suffice it to say that economic pressures have forced me to sell my prized collection of vintage razors. The needs of my family must come before my own. I know these...
