No one grabbed this yet?
TBO a high end Production razor is only high end because of the scales and gold washing. Some of them are Damascus steel, but for that price you might as well get a custom.
IMO high end...

Melt them into a mug. Maybe 2 second bursts in the micro til it melts.
Guys lets move questions to PMs as this thread is meant to showcase works vs. getting a passaround started.
Yay!
My belief is when bevel setting it might be better to keep a higher count on the omote vs ura, but once you move to the finer grits it doesn't seem to matter much at all. Also the omote can be...
Poke some holes in the muffler with an ice pick?
My Mustang had an h pipe and resonators, but that was 10 years ago. Sorry.
Assuming the stamps at legit, would they not at least guarantee a good quality stone?
My Nonameyama stone.
"Hate" is such a strong word.

The reason you don't want to put in your highest bid in the beginning is because let's say you put in a 100.00 max on a 20.00 item. Then Joe Blow decides he's wants it and place a big for 25.00. ...
The reason it works so well is the steerhide has a slight brushed surface, dry tanned if you will. So when you spray the strop it instantly absorbs into the leather.
If you buy a strop he lets...
Sprays really shine on Tony Miller Steerhide ;)
If you like the draw, you will strop better and maybe more laps. If you don't like the draw you might strop worse and not strop enough.
If you have an oil tanned leather strop adding oil usually...
Thanks for the input guys! Had a second shave tonight, used a lot more water and hey! Got a great shave! It's a YMMV thing but I think it's a good soap.
That's a great link! Thanks!
JR cigars has some good prices too.
I recently used a few of my old DEs. Good to have them on hand when the itch needs to be scratched :).
I can't wait to fill this puppy with some HOTW and a glass of Scotch.
I use it with the scales straight out so it's like holding a knife.
For the most part the price just means better materials ie. stainless vs brass. Also the SS had a different head profile that does seem to help newer users get a better shave. For more veteran...

They all get the job done, but the Feathers are much nicer to hold and use. As was mentioned the blades cost more too. If he is going to stick with a shavette for shaving a Feather would be a...
It works pretty well for a buck fifty a puck. I think I overloaded the brush and didn't hydrate enough. The lather also dissipated pretty quickly, but the skin was still slick enough to shave. Good...
Does it look any different?
Either way think, "less is more". You don't need much regardless of what abrasive you are using.
I think that shorty looks a lot better with the tapered shoulders like that.
There are a couple of gents selling them in the Hobbyist classifieds, assuming they still have em
Just found out 0.1 micron CBN is 40.00 for 2 ounces. Not a fan of crox tho. And it's a spray
I hate these kinds of questions LOL.
I just redid a near wedge JosephRogers on my Jnat from Botan through to Tomo. After which I got a HHT1-2. I stropped 5 laps on my Kanayama and got a mild...
ouch!
On second thought maybe 4 ounces was 80.00? I forget.
Rick is a sprays non-beliber  I use em all the time
So you are saying the very edge is nice, but just behind that point it was all jacked up? For myself, not taking out all the...
Is that the 4 ounce price? Ken123 used to sell half bottles of 2 ounces for 1/2 price. When I got my CBN it was a bit more than that I think. I would get you guys some but I sent everyone and their...
Just to be clear, you need pressure in the direction of the pass, not more pressure on your skin. So lets say you were trying to scrape a price tag off a 1,000,000 dollar marble table, you would...
While it could very well be a blunt edge, a straight razor doesn't cut through whiskers like a knife through butter- some momentum is needed to carry the razor through your whiskers. If you are...
I was surprised by the scent. Not at all what I was expecting. It was much more bathroon deodorizer than Arko but I never read about that. We will see if I have the skill to lather it up assuming...
I never used the stuff, but could you not mix some up with some distilled water and spray it on? I know most people mix it with oil, but just a thought.
