I too would recommend a synthetic brush for travel, the main reason being that they dry out very quickly, which is great if you are moving from place to place.
I deleted my post here because I had posted it a long time ago. I try to come up with fresh posts rather than repeats.
The Swinging Blue Jeans, "Blowin' In the Wind."

Highway 61 Revisited is the first Dylan album I picked up, back in the late 1970s. While I think that the acoustic side of Bringing It All Back Home is perhaps Dylan at his best, Highway 61...
Bob Dylan, "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)."
After "Gates of Eden," perhaps my favorite Dylan song.

Can't help you here. Maybe someone who knows will chime in. Otherwise, I would either contact the seller about it for advice or talk to a local shoe-repairman about it.
I have had a similar occurrence with a Walkin' Horse Horween cordovan strop I bought from Jarrod at the Superior Shave. Following his recommendation, I applied a small amount of Malm's concentrated...
John Lee Hooker, "Build Myself a Cave." Most curious that there is not a link to this classic on Youtube. Recorded ca. 1948-49.

Almost a year ago, I bought a used T-I blade with sculpted spine for ~20 euros in a flea market in France.

The scales were pretty shabby, so I ordered some pre-made T-I replacement...
The Carter Family, "Lonesome Valley."

Shumate Antiseptic.
I'm sorry, but I like unmuted spikes. The corner dug in minutely maybe the first time I was shaving with a straight, but beyond that, I've never had anything close to the line-scratches shown above....
The Damned, "New Rose." I believe that with "New Rose," the Damned got the jump on the Sex Pistols by a few weeks...

I would suggest holding off on the Walkin' Horse strop until you have stropping down with a cheaper or more dispensable strop first. Then the cheaper one can become your travel strop. I also hope...
The Rarelys, "Bound to Lose." I had thought to link the Holy Modal Rounders' original version from the early 1960s, but it wasn't on Youtube, probably because there is some documentary about them...
Bob Desper, "Darkness Is Like a Shadow."

Okay, thanks for letting me know, and for digging it out from the pile. Think I'll hold on to it and surprise you with it somewhere down the road...
Mother McCollum, "Jesus Is My Air-O-Plane." An interesting instance of the British pronunciation of "aeroplane" existing here in the American variant, "airplane."

Fine by me...
Claudine Longet, "Here, There & Everywhere." It was cruel of the studio boys to make her sing this one!

I appreciated the video link above, 'cause I'm a sucker for low-grade musical reunions in bars as depicted there.
Following the supposed outsider theme, here's a tag off "me" in the title.

Thanks Ed.
Somebody Like You > Someone Like You > Reason to Believe.
Rod Stewart, "Reason to Believe." The Youtube posting here is absolute analog geekdom IMO. Apart from the ungrounded wire, the record...
Shumate-Dovo hybrid. Shumate on the left side and Dovo on the right side for starters. Shumate won out in the end.
I just reread an old e-mail that Ron from Star Shaving sent me a while back. There, he rated his crox strop at 50,000x, the black latigo at 60,000x, and the chestnut or burgundy at 90,000x, with...
That may be the problem then. It's unfortunate that the difference isn't explained on the Star Shaving site when ordering. So, basically, the black strop functions like a prep strop, or closer to...
What color is your Big Daddy? The reason I ask is because the black is a bit coarser, for knives, with the burgundy and the chestnut being finer, for razors.
I found this sequence of pictures from a French forum pretty interesting: http://rasoircoupechoux.forumgratuit.org/t263-preparation-d-un-strop-a-la-pate. Neat's-foot oil was the vehicle. Not much...
James White and the Blacks, "Heatwave." Another song about another kind of heatwave.

Ahem, let's get back to the current tag in question. And welcome back, Bruce!

Jack Nitzsche, "The Lonely Surfer." Phil Spector's (and the early Stones') right-hand man!

Yeah, I know what you mean. It always gets me how the Byrds swiped the Beatles' "If I Needed Someone" riff on this one:
The Byrds, "The Bells of Rhymney."
I mean, really, stealing from the...
Maybe it's rancid in taste, but following the example of a French razor vendor and honer I know, I've been loading an Illinois 361 strop with olive oil to make the strop more pliant for over a month...
Different schools on this. The main thing is to have a friendly chat with your local art-supply dealer, so as to arrive at the right grade of pigment powder. Then, one can either dip a fingertip...
Depends where I am. If water is at a premium, then I wipe the blade on a bar towel for the most part. The advantage of this is that it lets you know how your blade is doing in the whisker-removal...
If you can't link a person to the actual honing, my guess is that it came from Thiers like that. Send it out for a proper hone to a real person with honing skills who can help you.
I only have one razor, the one I'm using at the time. Doesn't matter where it came from, or how much it cost me, just so long as it does what I want it to.
