I read the free trial (the first 40 or so) pages of WWZ last night. It was OK. He's not the most gifted of writers, IMO, but it was fairly interesting. Can't decide if I want to finish it or not.
AMC announced today that it has picked up The Walking Dead for a season 3! That was fast!
Did anyone find the music kind of odd when they walked up to the school for supplies and saw the bunch of zombies? It was almost like comedic. I also wish they would show more flashbacks on what was going on when the people started to become walkers and the chaos that was going on while Rick was in a coma.
Anyone catch ZOMBIES: A LIVING HISTORY on History channel tonight? I missed the early showing, but set the DVR for overnight. Looks like they're rerunning it very early Sun morning.
Episode 2 just showed here. I didn't notice the music. Maybe the soundtrack is different here, I already deleted it so can't check. But I was impressed how they snuck up to within a few feet of the zombie horde and hid behind a car and THEN started to discuss their objective and tactics.
Also it was made very obvious that Andrea would get separated from the group because the wasn't paying attention. When the zombie came out from behind the tree (!) she switched to hysterical girlie mode, tripped over trying to get away, etc. I think a few cliches are slipping in following the changes.
Arrrghh, I lost power and missed TWD last night!!!
Walking Dead is probably one of the best ongoing comic book series out there... but the show was a pretty big disappointment.
I'm really enjoying the show. Last night's final plot-twist really blew me away.
Shane's move is exactly what I expected
I just watched the entire Dead Set U.K. zombie mini series. Pretty good, I enjoyed it. Interesting ending. Not typical zombies, they were more like the rage virus Zeds from 28 Days Later.
Dead set is great. I bought the DVD of that one because it is one of the few tv series I can see myself watch several times. Walking dead is good too, I'm enjoying it, but I don't think I'll need to own a copy. But I liked the end of the latest episode. I didn't see it coming.
Why did Shane shave his head? What caused the bald spot? The zombies or the fat guy?
Otis pulled a hank of hair out.
