I recently got an Ozuku Asagi from chefknivestogo, then picked up a Mejiro nagura and an Ozuku Tomo nagura from Aframes Tokyo. I get a nice slurry from the Mejiro without too much effort. With the Tomo, however, I have had mixed results, at best. I did manage to get a light slurry at one point, but...

Does any of the fellow European shavers have experience with the bulk pack of Vero brushes? The Vero 5106 in 6-pack can be had quite cheaply. (18 euro for 6 brushes, including shipping) But it is wasted money if they are inferior to the regular single Vero brushes one can find in the local...

Hello Gents, I'm a new guy over here in the Brown Leaf corner of B+B and it came to my attention that there was no thread/picture post of members humidors and the contents thereof! So I vowed to start one... Here is my humble submission. details: 2 Perdomo 10th Anniversary Reserve 1 La...

Any tips or pointers are welcome as I have never used a DE razor before now. So far, I haven't cut myself....

Currently I'm looking at omega premium #34 , Semogue ( not too sure which model as I read the 1305 has questionable handle ) and maybe a drilled Whipped Dog 24mm Silvertip. I'm currently also using a Vulfix 404 mixed and I would like something that improves on the Vulfix in terms of softness and...

Hi all, newly registered to ask this question. I don't have a thick full beard but just a tad more facial hair than the typical Asian. Unfortunately enough to necessitate shaving, not enough to forgo shaving and keep a beard. My early shaving experiences were with a DE that my dad used. ...

Soooo today I received a box from Alfredo. He recently restored one of my razors, rescaled another, polished two, and sharpened all four. Absolutely sublime shave today with the Aubrey he restored (the restoration job wasn't bad either ) Also wanted to add Alfredo is a true...

SOTD: 20 - 26 May 2013
Thread Starter: BRuhlingB&Bers, last week was yet another fabulous showing. The SOTD is by far the best thread on this forum. And it is all because of your contributions! I'm starting off this week with a Chandler pattern welded steel blade. It was a velvet squeegee and I am a happy man!
