    SOTD: 20 - 26 May 2013

    Thread Starter: BRuhling

B&Bers, last week was yet another fabulous showing. The SOTD is by far the best thread on this forum. And it is all because of your contributions! I'm starting off this week with a Chandler pattern welded steel blade. It was a velvet squeegee and I am a happy man!

Clue me in on good (and cheap) knives please?

    Thread Starter: Haggises

I'm in desperate need of some good knives, but I'm also cheap and need a good bang for the buck. Number one is a bread knife. I realized I've never had a good bread knife. Number two would be a Chef's knife. Number three I guess a paring knife. I don't need a set of steak knives or a big...

New razor test run went very well tonight

    Thread Starter: Gary H

I got myself a new razor in the mail today an old double ring. The razor cleaned up really well and gave me a DFS pretty surprising for such an old razor. I am hoping to find the blade holders for this at an upcoming flea market, last time I went one of the larger razor vendors had a few sets...

    Had my first semi-real cigar!

    Thread Starter: Gunney

Well, I had my first semi-real cigar today. After having had some of the cheapo Cheyenne, today. whilst I was at rite-aid I picked up a package of Phillies Cheroots (the only ones they had apparently..) And boy was it different. Initially I noticed that it had a slightly sweet flavour around...

    Straight Razor May

    Thread Starter: Archer808

I've been DE shaving for about nine months now. I purchased a straight razor on the B/S/T about five months ago and have successfully shaved with it around ten times. It has become my lazy Sunday routine (when I actually have a lazy Sunday) to straight shave. Although I was able to achieve a...

Learn me on lighting a pipe

    Thread Starter: Rockminer

As some of you know, i'm pretty new to this pipe thing. I have figured out the "sip" or slow light pulls when the pipe is lit. The ability to light the pipe is something i'm having trouble with. I always feel like I'm pulling too hard when lighting. I want to easy pull, when lighting it, but it...
