    Higher-end suit discounts?

    Thread Starter: Corsair66

The subject line says it all. I'm looking to add a higher-end OTR suit (I've got my eye on a new Kiton), but retail pricing doesn't represent any sort of practical reality. Not so much from the absolute cost perspective, but with respect to perceived value, at least for me. So, can anyone...

    Bleh!

    Thread Starter: Chuck Sirloin

Ok, so I'm relatively new to traditional shaving (since October of last year), and have had the same brush for the past 7-8 months. The brush I speak of is a synthetic one made by Jack Black (the men's grooming product line, not by the lead singer of Tenacious D, lol). It's pillow-soft and and an...

    Brotherhood of the Open Comb

    Thread Starter: bluesbishop

A few of us started teasing Krona Kruiser on this thread about giving up his latest purchase to those of us that truly love Open Combs...so out of just having some fun here on B&B, we formed the Brotherhood of the Open comb. What is this crazy Brotherhood you ask? First and foremost, it is a...

    Longevity of soft soaps (croaps)

    Thread Starter: rand77

Anybody have an estimate of how long you can keep a soft soap like Razorock/TFS/Proraso once opened? What about unused soft soaps? It's going to be a long while until I finish my current rotation of soft soaps, I'm hoping they last at least 18 months or longer.

A good polarised filter for 35mm camera?

    Thread Starter: Doc4

Okay, so I'm driving along on a nice sunny day. I see something that looks spectacular in the scenery ... clouds, sunlight, hillside ... the whole shee-bang. So I pull over, take out my camera, and take a photo. ... upon development, the photo looks like ... meh. It's a hillside on a...

My dear friends, base notes is excited by their patchouley. I am a fan of their shaving cream. I am looking for a great patch or vetiver EDC. I have been wanting to delve into this all my life. Have favored all the British stuff, my best vetiver was done by Floris. So looking for those scents....

I am trying to find a store where I can buy a Thater 49125/0 shaving brush in plexi in Europe, but I can't find any for some reason. Anyone can help me with this? I am find also if you find 49125/1 instead of /0, I just need an online store that sells this in Europe. If you would do 90% of the...

Clue me in on good (and cheap) knives please?

    Thread Starter: Haggises

I'm in desperate need of some good knives, but I'm also cheap and need a good bang for the buck. Number one is a bread knife. I realized I've never had a good bread knife. Number two would be a Chef's knife. Number three I guess a paring knife. I don't need a set of steak knives or a big...
