As the title says, how was your shim experience? Enough to continue? Did you try two or three shims as well? Any benefits/negatives?

Greetings from Mendel & Gilligan! We've been a bit busy lately so it's only fitting that we return with another PIF. This one is for current dachshund owners living in CONUS. What are we PIFing? 1 puck of Scottish Fine Soaps Classic. This was used twice. A sensational performer but...

Has anyone picked up any of the new shavemac brushes yet? I am on Sabbatical, but they are really piquing my interest. So far; my favorite is the Colonia #1 w/D01 knot, but the new Americana is turning my head as well.

Underneath, as you can see in the picture, the metal is black and rough to the touch. It seems...

So I bought this one on eBay a few weeks back. There was something very appealing about how it was restored with what I consider a great Judo move: turning what must have been a ding on the blade into an aggressive, yet elegant attitude. The body is made in texture purple heart. The blade is an...

I have a favorite razor that has a pretty loose pivot pin. Its certainly usable but would prefer it to be just a bit more snug. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to risk damaging anything. Especially since its totally useable. Thoughts?

My 6 Month PIF - Starter Kit!
Thread Starter: tiernan22I just wanted to show my appreciation for the kindness, support, and wisdom that's been bestowed upon me during my first 6 months here. I'm PIFing a very basic starter kit that will at the very least allow you to develop a solid technique and explore other areas of wet shaving. During my journey,...
