I have looked at a lot of the other brands that get mentioned here, but don't see anything that catches my eye, but these have. Are they refurbish able in the future?

They piqued my curiosity (definitely a shoe that's a bit more daring/unconventional than I'm used to), and I noted that they only had 1 pair left, and coincidently (or was it the fates?) it was my size. After applying the coupon, these shoes were going to set me back aprx $140 shipped (I thought that a pretty good deal for what I think is a well made shoe). I kicked it around, and figured why not? So I hit submit, and eagerly awaited their arrival. They came in, and they look as advertised and fit well.
I'm still tossed up on whether or not to keep them. I know that if I do, I'll would probably be served if I don't wear them too often, as they seem to be something to be pulled out on occasion (not special, per se) when I'm looking to spice it up a bit.
My question to you, gentlemen, is with what would you pair them? Assume for a moment that you made the purchase, and liked both the look and fit.

Allen Edmonds apparently makes all of two styles in size, and he was supposed to acquire a pair for me to try, and then there is the option to custom order. Well it has been weeks with no response on that front.

Meanwhile, I need a pair of brown shoes. My previous Johnston and Murphys are used up and embarassing at this point to wear. So I've been wondering if there are other options.

So far, I've only found Peal & Co. at Brooks Brothers that offers a basic dress shoe in those sizes. Nordstrom's website shows one pair of penny loafers in that range. Alden only offers down to an 8 in narrow widths. Nothing on Bloomingdale's site either.

I've read on Style Forum that some of the Euro brands "regular" are narrower than a US D. My only experience with that is a pair of Ferragamo shoes I bought at one point, but then returned after I had a similar pinching issue up front as I have with the AEs.

My other option I guess is to go find another pair of "forgiving" shoes like the J&Ms. The J&Ms were 7.5D and I never had a comfort issue with them. The AE sales guy said it was a difference in the leather. The only thing was I was trying to go for a nicer shoe than what those J&Ms were, and I was trying to avoid spending another $2-300 on a pair of shoes made in a third-world country.

So any suggestions are welcome, although at this point, I suspect the Peals may be my only option. Too bad it slipped my mind to order a pair during the Friends and Family sale. I still do have an in-store 20% good through the end of May though. Didn't see an exclusion for Peal, just cordovan shoes. Still an expensive pair of shoes ($480), but I appear to lack options.

They arrived today and were very obviously and very poorly dyed. White powder comes off on your fingers, leading me to believe it was possibly cheap rattle can dye rather than a professional with proper equipment and dye. With that said, shoes are in ok shape other than color, soles, uppers etc are solid, don't look too beat up, and fit rather well. Is there a DIY option for white shoes, I am in the auto industry, so I have auto leather dye guys available to me, but the leather seats they do tend to feel "hard" to the touch, and that's the last thing I want here. Obviously sending them back to AE is a possibility, but for a pair of shoes I paid very little for, I'm hesitant to go down that road unless I'm absolutely in love. I'm also open to the idea of going darker...I dig the white, esp. in South Florida, but it's certainly impractical for all but the most casual of functions, so if stripping the poor spritz and going darker is a legitimate DIY option, I'd certainly put some thought into it.
