Burts Bees Shave Cream - My Discovery

Today I found the secret of improving the performance of Burt's Bees shaving cream.
Instead of using the same amount as I would have any other cream, I used five times the amount.

The results speaks for themselves.
1. Instead of getting an awful shave, I got a fairly sub average one.
2. Instead of having half a dozen nicks, I only had one.
3. After applying the alum block, instead of having my whole face aflame with stings, only my throat area was aflame.

All up, a very considerable improvement.

This one is from India, Manufactured by HRI ,there is a picture of handsome man in box art, blue ocean and 1990's design and big 125ml toothpaste plastic tube,2x bigger than a tube of Godrej cream.

the appearance of a cream is colored blue, easy to generate a rich lather with wet brush,the scent reminds me of a cologne or herbaceous/mountain pine. longevity is excellent,left my skin moisturized after the shave.Many Indians living in the Middle East,this cream is much harder to obtain in outside of India.

My buddy gave me a sample of Wars Shave Cream (pronounced Varz) from Poland. My initial impression was the strong scent. It reminds me of Tabac, but a little more appealing to me. It's a very masculine tobacco like smell. Then I lathered it up in a bowl and wow does this stuff explode into a thick creamy lather. The cushion and glide are excellent. My face was left moisturized and smelling great for the rest of the day. This cream will compete with any of the top British creams, IMHO. It's a little harder to find, but I found a Polish vendor that is selling it bulk with free shipping. You can buy 4 tubes for $15 or 10 tubes for $30. They are 65g each, so not really big. This is still a great deal, so I'm happy to share it with everyone! :biggrin1:

In my quest for new and exciting creams to add to my collection, I ordered the sample pack direct from GFT. It arrived within a couple of days and was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. Beautifully presented, in a little canvas bag with each item bubble-wrapped inside.

It's got a very good selection inside - creams, colognes and skin food which I was also very keen to try.

I opened everything to have a good sniff. The colognes all smelt (to me) virtually identical and not my thing at all, so they've gone. The Coral skin food is very perfumed and pretty nasty, so that's gone. The Rose and Violet creams are equally perfumed - I can't imagine any man wanting to use anything like that, very feminine and girly.

However, the rest are divine. The coconut and almond are particularly nice, the lime smells really tangy and fruity and the sandalwood is happily not too overpowering. The sandalwood skin food smells quite strong out of the bottle, but the lime is lovely.

Can't wait to get these tried :001_smile

Came home from work and my package from shave a buck was sitting on the table. I was excited to give this cream a try.Let me say this cream is outstanding.Nice rose scent that is not overpowering,just so fresh.I can not believe I only paid $5.99 for the tube.For the price and how awesome the shave was I will be stocking up on this one.Any fan of rose creams I will say give this a try.There are no parabens or artificial colors which I like. The ingredients are Aqua,myristic acid,steric acid,glycerine,potassium hydroxide,rosa damascena distillate,boric acid,parfum,sodium borate, menthol,citronellol,geraniol.The web site is www.shaveabuck.com.

I used this cream fotr the first time and I like it. The scent did change a little when I whipped the cream up, but I wouldn't stop using it because of that. I still had a fresh scent on my face after I cleanded up. I remember one poster said that TOBS likes water. Ikept that in mind and had no problem making my lather. I also used more lather than I usually do so I had enough left over gor multiple passes.

Any ocean scented shave creams out there?

Frasers shaving cream problems

Well, got a tub of Frasers shaving cream yesterday, and right off the bat couldn't get it to lather at all. It was like wax gobules on the bottom of bowl, and I got aggravated. I am reading that some other people are having the same problem. Today, I stirred the tub of cream with a butter knife very well. The cream got softer and more creamy, and it lathered very well. I'm guessing that maybe the ingredients weren't mixed well or that they have separated. Good thing I didn't throw it out.

I ordered this scent semi-blind because it sounded close to Mike's Orange, Cedar and Pepper. All I can say is Wow! This scent is awesome. So much so, I might have to change my signature. :laugh: It's also a great performer. Some of the most irritation free shaves I've had. I highly recommend it.

You know those soaps and creams that don't perform all that well but smell too good to not use? I have a couple that I've been mixing with MWF to make a super lather. I get the best of both worlds; a great scent combined with the performance of MWF.

I've had plenty of help from other members, YouTube videos, and how-to guides so thought I'd try to post a few myself to see if I could help anyone, so here is another attempt at a "lather video" from me (now in 720p HD). Previous videos have included: MdC, MW, QCS and AOS

I know there was another video recently showing 1 swirl with a Boar Brush, but this video shows how I lather it, 3017 style. I like to have an abundance of lather and like it thick, creamy and for it to hold plenty of water for a nice 3 pass shave with extra to leave on my face during clean up.

I used a damp Savile Row 3824 Finest Silvertip Badger brush and lathered up some Castle Forbes Lavender Cream in a Dirty Bird 1.5 Scuttle (Dry, no outer water for test).

Here are the rules: If you have personally made a "shaving or lather video", feel free to make fun of it all you want :001_tt2:....but, if you haven't made one, pull out your camera or camcorder and see if you can do better, then you are free make fun of me all you want. :w00t:

The more videos we have showing how to maker lather, with various methods, the better. There are no right or wrong ways, everyone likes likes lather a certain way. This video just shows how I like mine.
