I just picked up a Schick M-2 Adjustable Injector off Ebay. I got it cleaned up and put a new Personna Platinum Chrome in it and started shaving this morning. Guess what it won't cut my whiskers. I've tried various settings and still no go. The razor looks ok and the adjuster moves back and forth. I'm bummed out over this, any idea's?. I need your help guy's.

Just got in a Streamline that the blade cap does not tighten down on the blade so everything moves around.

Contemplating whether to return it or try to repair it.

I don't have pics yet to post.... nor do I have any injector blades to put in it to try it out. An old rusty blade was already in it and I noticed that the gap was a little crooked and that the old blade was "over" the stop farthest away from the key insertion point, rather than behind it. After removing the old blade by pushing it with the tip of my mechnical pencil, I noticed that the stop appears to be a little wore down. Is this a common problem with these types of razors? Is it likely to be a problem or am I worrying for nothing? Sorry, I'm being impatient today.... I would just wait until my injector blades arrive but that will be days from now. Thanks.

I have been really getting into the collecting side of this hobby for about the last six months. Although I have really only been focusing on DE razors, particularly Gillettes.

As a result I have become aware of the rarest and most desirable Gillettes, and even have a few nice sets myself. But I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to Single Edge razors.

Therefore, I was hoping you guys over here in the SE forum could school me on what some of the rarities of the SE world are.

Of course pictures would be nice!

My safety bar adjuster won't work anymore, the dial just spins and the blade won't adjust in and out. How do you tighten up the blade tension?, my blade moves around and the razor won't shave my face. It won't cut hair. I hope I don't have to toss it, it's a cool looking razor.

My purchases have always been either inspired or guided by the great input here at B&B. The injector finds favor with so many here. Albeit, not as much as the DE and that is the just of this inquiry. Not having used the injector yet, I can't comment. But "my" interpretation of posts that I have read is that it is equally as good as a DE. Still, it does not enjoy the popularity and use of a DE. There are a number of modern manufactures of DE razors but I don't see that to be the case with the injector. Now if the shave is so good and it's use is so intuitive (vs the DE) then what the heck happened? I thought maybe a cost factor...DE blades vs Injector. But the carts are so much more than DE blades and their use squashes DE use. Maybe it was the times that caused the injector demise. I can't see any visible damage and I'm very excited to use it. The markings on it say to use only Damaskeene Blades but can I use modern day single edge razors with it?

I found a gem of an antique store with many Damaskeene and GEM razors there. I didn't notice any Micromatics but a few had full sets (case, blades, razor, and instructions.) A bit dirty, but I'm sure they could clean up nicely.

Also, I saw this little Gillette Lady Travel Razor with case and snagged it.

Got both this awesome Damaskeene and Gillette Lady for $20 :) What a steal.

I aquired this razor a few weeks ago and have been useing it in my rotation, it is one that requires
a wedge type blade but until i can get a few honed i have been useing the gem ss / carbon blade.
The only markings on the razor are esf and pat 64903, and as i plan to keep on useing this razor
i would like to know a little bit more about it, Here are a few pics.
