• B&B Essential Brush - It's Back!

Step right up and gather around everyone! The B&B Essential Brush is back.

It's my pleasure to announce the rebirth of the Badger & Blade Essential brush. This time, it will be boar instead of badger. These brushes are not limited editions; they will be continuously stocked and will be available for purchase through West Coast Shaving for $20.00 plus the shipping method of your choice. Each run will contain approximately 150 brushes. The initial plan is to change the color of the handle for the next run when the current run sells out.

This is a custom knot (not just a production knot jammed into a fancy handle) with extra hair that was developed by a group of boar afficianados who tested prototypes before being satisfied. This brush is made entirely by Omega.

The approximate dimensions of the brush are listed below:

    Price: $20.00 plus shipping
    Hair Type: Boar
    Knot Diameter: ~22 mm
    Loft: ~54 mm
    Handle Height: ~50 mm
    Total Height: ~104 mm
Available for Purchase through West Coast Shaving
    Date of Availability: NOW!

Look at that cute little badger! It's saying, "Buy me and take me home!". I'll probably be collecting one of each color. Long live SBAD!

    Thread Starter: MrProraso

Hey B&B members, Was hoping you kind folks could help me out with a question I have with my pre-shave oil routine. I use Musgo Real pre-shave oil (in case you were interested) and need to know when/how to apply it. Basically, I take a hot shower before I shave (sometimes using conditioner on...

    Red Tip vs. Slims

    Thread Starter: ZinZan

Slims are currently my go to razor for the past 6 months. Amazing razor and very easy to use not too aggressive, great shaves all the time. So I wanted someting tad a bit more aggressive, so red tip came up in most reviews as agressive. So was hunting on ebay looking at the price trend not really...

    Shameless Dime Store Aftershave fan

    Thread Starter: luvmysuper

I am a shameless dime store aftershave fan. I have no problem admitting that. While I appreciate top shelf frags, my "daily drivers" are all of the drug store variety; The Veg, Aqua Velva, Clubman, Old Spice etc. I saw a bottle of "Stetson" last week and decided to give it a run. I bought a...

    Thread Starter: Winchester38

It's finally happened. I've been ordering enough stuff that I've started having half of it shipped directly to my office, in hopes that SWMBO doesn't notice when I integrate it all into my collection... Last week it was some restoration supplies from Maggard. Yesterday it was a new DT...

Gillette OLD type = closest shave I've ever had

    Thread Starter: JoeyCrash2

I recently acquired some vintage Gillette DE's (a 1950 Super Speed, a '38 - '45 Fat Handle Tech and a '21 - '28 Old Type Set) after using a Merkur 33C Classic for almost 10 years and a Gillette Diplomat for a few months. I also have a Gillette NEW type on the way. I've, of course, been through a...
