• Robert Smith CooncatBob of Bob's Razor Works

Folks it saddens us to say that we have received word of the passing of Robert Smith, better known to his friends here as CooncatBob.

We have no independent confirmation of the news and do not know the circumstances.
We certainly do not want to spread any false rumors, or host a location where unconfirmed tales can start or spread.

All the information we have is from his Facebook page, duplicated below.

Bob was the ultimate craftsman, and anyone who had the opportunity to see his work first hand had no doubt that what they beheld was a work of art, though it was as functional as it was beautiful.

Bob had many friends here at Badger & Blade, and our condolences are with his family in this difficult period.

    I Blind Bought Kouros

Tell me I'm crazy! Who's a fan here, and why? I ordered from FragranceX, specifically the gift-set which showed a picture of the bottle with silver trim everywhere (not enamelled trim). I have learned to love some fragrances (Sung Homme) so hopefully if it's not love at first sniff I can learn...

    Vote to rename James' cat!

    Thread Starter: jzuzphreek

Many of us here have expressed interest in the name of a certain inky, skittish, Canadian feline. In the interest of protecting said feline's identity, and to avoid causing him any further embarrassment, the idea has been proposed to vote on a new name for Syn's kitty (See what I did there?...

Muhle R89 and EJDe89 same head?

    Thread Starter: Cornishman

Hi, I'm sure that I have seen it mentioned before but is the Muhle R89 head and the Edwin Jagger DE89 head exactly the same. The Muhle R89 handle seems to have a better grip. Do the same company make both?

Who to clean a Sheraton ?

    Thread Starter: Maxime D.

I put my hand on a nice Sharaton and I'd like to clean it, while my usual method is to use Mother's Metal Polish to clean anything that is Nickel plated, I fear that it will arm the gold plating on the Sheraton. Could you give me some tips ?

    Night shaving

    Thread Starter: Suggy

I've always been a morning shaver, when I get up. This week I started shaving at night. It makes a bit more sense now that I have my kids every other week and I can use the extra time in the morning. Luckily, I don't have that dark or thick of a beard so no shadow or real scruff till in the evening...

    St Charles Soaps

I was looking at St Charles Shave Soaps and was thinking about maybe trying it. I noticed they don't sell samples, so that makes me hesitant to commit to a whole tin. Does anyone have experience with this soap? If so, what scents are best?
