The RichGem and Chip thread got me to thinking about who I have met on this site. So far I have met Kyle, scorpio, msandoval, IssacRN and a few others. They were all great gentlemen and I enjoyed our visits.
Have you met anyone?
I had the great pleasure of meeting Nick2, Ray, Bob, Jim, and Scott. I consider it an honor that none of them pushed me in front of a cab.
On the down side, I missed a golden opportunity to meet a few other notables, including Pat and Tim. :frown:
I've met two gents. I guess I scared them away  Haven't seen either of them posting in a long time.
Hhmmm.....thinking about this, Wendy also met one of them, so maybe she frightened him, and I only scared one off.
Yeah, I'm sure of it; one each.

Did you forget thirdeye?
Did you forget thirdeye?
There's no forgetting that guy. For me, I've met thirdeye and Elo on a fishing trip that Papasmurf organized last August. Then there was this event (http://www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/get-togethers-meetings/16873-ohio-get-together-1-6-posts.html) where I've met other members of this board and other shaving forums. And I can honestly say that I've had no regrets so far with the time that I have spent with any of them.
I'll probably be NYC bound again in the next few months. I'm always open for meetups with others when I travel.

'Twas my great pleasure to meet both Poulin and Jatte.
Suspect if I keep posting recipes here, I might meet Chip sooner than I know
Let's see:
Whole leaf lettuce or pita bread (or both)
Walnuts or pecans
Seedless grapes - halved (preferably quartered)
Cooked chicken breast - cubed
Celery- chopped
Mandarin orange slices or pineapple chunks
Red bell pepper- chopped
Minced garlic
Chili powder
Veg or fish oil
Peanut butter
2 cups of chicken, 1 cup of grapes, 1/3 cup pepper, 1/2 cup of everything else (except for the lettuce and bread). Mix in a big bowl.
1/4 cup or so of oil, 2 tbsp peanut butter, chili powder and garlic is up to you. Blend it up fine.
Either line the pita with the lettuce (my way) or if you're adventurous, use the lettuce as the wrap. Scoop the mix in and drizzle with the dressing.
Goes *really* well with Strongbow cider.

No one yet, but the east coast mods BBQ last month was only 15 minutes away from my home, and I swear could smell the brisket from here!
Does that count?

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Matt (analog_kid) at St. Croix Cigar Co. in downtown Hudson, WI. It was a lot of fun. We smoked a couple cigars, drank some beer, and talked motorcycles.
A few months ago I also had the pleasure of meeting Dennis (Old Saw) and Marty (Mk-Ultra) at the Mall of America. Also a great time involving another one of my favorite passtimes...eating!

A cigar shop in Hudson? Sounds like we need to get together again. Maybe on one of my Twin Cities runs with the college student you can introduce me to this cigar shop.
I have spent the better part of a day with Mr. Gillette and his wife at his camp in the U.P. of Michigan. It was a very relaxing and fun time. He's really a regular guy in person.
The meet up with Cory and mk-ultra was the only other time I met with members.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Maher. Maher is a very nice gentleman who is passionate about shaving & happens to make an awesome homemade Aftershave balm. As it would have it when I met him I had not shaven in 3 days & he kidded me about it.
Geez, you would think at the very least a fellow B&Ber would arrive showing off a BBS shaven mug.

Sounds like a plan! St. Croix Cigar Company is a great place nestled in downtown Hudson, which is a great historic, riverside town. They have a well stocked walk in humidor as well as a decent selection of tinned and bulk pipe tobacco. In back, you'll find an awesome lounge complete with mini fridge, huge leather chairs, big screen TV, and DVD player.

I'll let you know when I can make it. I am starting a new job in August and might not make the fall "move in" with the young one.
