I keep seeing these on eBay for less than $30 shipped, but I can't find them mentioned anywhere. Does anybody own one and is $30 a good price for one? The link is:

Norm,
I'm a little iffy on that. If it is authentic, it is not a bad price for a basic Vulfix badger brush. And the handle does look like a Vulfix. Although looking at the ones on Classic shaving, I can only find that handle on the boar brushes. This one is definitely badger, though.
On a side note, the seller is clueless. Apparently we prefer badger to boar because it is FIRMER than boar. Also, the picture with the drip stand totally cracks me up. And makes me wonder whether the stand actually fits the razor or not. Not that it matters all that much. You don't need a stand anyway.

Actually, check here (http://www.vulfixoldoriginal.com/products-detail.asp?CatID=1&SubCatID=1&ProductID=14). Looks like probably the real thing. Price is good. I'd say go for it. Just as a warning though. These lower price Vulfixes perform great, but they are a hint prickly. Kind of a nice scrubby thing, I find, but you should be aware of that.

I agree that the price is right for this brush.
I picked up a Vulfix very similar to the 2197 (pure badger - but dark, not grey) for about $30 as my first brush.
Its worth the money, but I think you can get a comparable pure badger Saville Row, a pure badger Shavemac (machine made) or the C&E pure badher for the same money.
I've seen the SR pure badger brushes that cost about the same and I would have been happier with one of them than my Vulfix, which I find both floppy and prickly (the SR in contrast is more dense and softer, but still skritchy as pure badger tends to be).
My $.02.

I have one like this (bought on Ebay). It was my first badger brush and it is definitely a step-up from the boar one I used before. But once I got myself a Kent brush (BK2, Ebay for $35 shipped) I have never got back to the Vulfix. Kent is much softer on a face (Vulfix bristles are somewhat scratchy), firmer and springier.
