Gents, if you saw my other post about L'occitane then you know I was a happy man today when visiting K.C. However, I almost forgot our fans of Creed. Yep, there it was, under my nose for years. Hall's dept. store on the Plaza. They have seemingly the entire line of Creed fragrances.
To be honest, Creed is not my bag. I know this is heresy to those who love it but for the life of me their scents hit me as synthetic. Okay, I'm not ducking now so will continue typing. They had at least 12-15 of the mens scents including one I've wanted to get a sniff of for some time. Royal English Leather. A real stinker to me. I could not detect any sort of leather note. It was...how shall I put it, dreck. Horrid. It just wasn't me. I tried the Royal Scottish Lavender as well and it was better but like the aforementioned and GIT, it hits me with that Creed "house scent" that smells of plastic to my schnozz. So there it is. A local source of Creed for Jayhawks and Missouri Mules er...Tigers alike. They have some other lines as well such as Bond #9 from NYC, Lancombe(don't laugh, the wife found some NICE smelling ladies colognes), and a raft of others. If I can dig up a phone and addy for you guys I'll amend the post with the info. All in all a red letter day for toiletries in K.C. BTW, I've menitoned this before but Pinstripes mens store carries a decent selection of Truefitt shave creams, colognes, and the hard soap in the bowl plus the refill. All these stores are within five blocks of each other.
