Currently I have a vulfix #2234 which is a excellent brush and soon will have a T&H turnback. Im wanting to dive into soaps preety hard and would like a brush devoted to soaps and of course to add to my collection. What should I consider....Im not a big fan of faux ivory

Well, it is faux ivory, but I will put in a vote for the Edwin Jagger for C&E best badger (http://store.crabtree-evelyn.com/acc130147.html) brush. This little honey can whip up a lather on a hard soap like no one's business, and won't break the bank. One of my favorite brushes. I think both Ron and Rik have them as well, and like them. Give it a try; for $35 you can't go wrong.
Of course, any brush will do a good job on soap with a certain amount of technique alteration, but the slightly stiffer bristles of the best badger will makes things a bit easier. Don't even get me started on how good this brush does with shave sticks....
