It just came in today, I am very happy with it thus far. I had Jim specially choose this brush for me. It was 1 or 2 he has left that had very nice character to it. The other was going to his personal collection. In case you dont know, Jim had these custom made for him and he may not restock these once they are out. Due to people not liking such a big knot, good thing I love a big knot, in fact I wouldn't mind it to be larger.

Hair: the grade of hair in this brush is the same as the heritage line. Here is a bit of info on that taken from the vintage blades website.

This is a new line of shaving brushes from R.A. Rooney that looks back to the company's earlier days. All brushes in this line are completely handmade from the finest materials available to the brush maker today.

The badger hair used for all Heritage brushes is a special grade of Rooney's popular Super Silvertip or "Super". While the brushes are indeed stamped "Super Badger", the quality of the hair truly deserves a special designation of its own. It is intended to duplicate in both look and feel the badger hair that was found in the older Rooney brushes of the first half of the 20th Century, what has come to be known as "traditional British badger".

Several examples of the older Rooney brushes were sent to their broker in China, where the broker was able to source a grade of hair that met the stated requirements. Many feel that the quality of this hair is much closer to that of the Rooney Finest than it is to the “standard” Rooney Super. One thing that all agree on, however, these brushes are the most densely filled brushes on the market.

The hair feels very soft and much more resilient to the regular super silver. Im it to comparing my rooney 1/3 super, I know that this brush is my kind of brush. Super Soft yet firm, perfect for me being more of a soap guy now.

Ok enough chat here are some pics pre bloom vs the stock pictures. Ill update the thread with post bloom after I use it.
