Hey All,
I just wanted to take a minute to call out our dear friend Ambrose for a job well done! I recently purchased my first straight, and was surprised to find out that "shave ready" apparently varies greatly. My new straight shaved almost as close as a rusty spoon.
After posing a few questions on the forum, Ambrose contacted me and offered his honing skills. I mailed off my new toy, and about a week later got a freakin' lightsaber back in the mail! My razor was so sharp, it was practically humming!
In all seriousness Ambrose did a fantastic job with my straight, and I would HIGHLY recommend that any of you fellas looking for someone to do some honing PM him immediately if not sooner. I know he's looking to get a business up and running, and between the fine work he did with my hone, as well as the amazing scale-work he's getting under way, I'm not sending my razor anywhere else!
Thanks Ambrose!

Yeah, pics would be awesome. Also what did he charge you to hone the razor? I have a few straights that could be done by someone with a little more honing experience then myself.

Sorry guys, I have no pics. I didn't even think about it in all my excitement. I will do better next time, and I think he's charging $18 for a hone right now.

Like you, I to have had the pleasure of Ambrose honing a couple of razors for me. Not only was the workmanship good, turn around fast, I also had the enjoyment of talking with Ambrose several times on the phone during the process.
An enjoyable experience all around.
Thanks again Ambrose. Be well: john

Likewise I sent a couple off to Ambrose and the edge is the best that I have experienced so far. I understand that he now has one of the better Japanese finishing stones. The difference is the total comfort of the shave...no irritation!! It was hard for me to do but I followed the directions that the razor was simply ready to go...I always seem to think I need to touch things up no matter what...and was it ever ready to GO!!! ]I would highly recommend Ambrose for honing, scales and whatever he advertises. He keeps in great contact and treated me with the upmost integrity. Thanks Ambrose!!

I agree, Ambrose was a pleasure to deal with (even if I almost took my face off with the razor :w00t: - that was my fault).
