I'm going to bump one more time.
To recap:
Four packs of 5 feathers in the black packaging available, shipped at my cost.
only one five pack per person.
(1) pack of individually wrapped Feather blades for a total of (5) blades for $3.98 is what is on offer. I have four of these offers for sale. Is that clearer?
For those that like feathers and just want to have one of these to try or collect.
PM me, paypal will be the pmt method

Let's make sure I have this straight.
(1) pack of individually wrapped Feather blades for a total of (5) blades for $3.98?
or
(5) packs of individually wrapped Feather blades for a total of (25) blades for $3.98?

Want as many people who want to try them to have the chance. I'm just as happy if they don't sell as if they do, I'm just doing this so those interested won't have to buy larger quantities only to discover they don't like them or need them.

It's just my opinion, but I think your price is a little high. Check out the following thread (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=93970). 100 Feather blades for $35.00 shipped or 50 Feather blades for $20.00 shipped. That works out to $0.35 to $0.40 per blade which is just below average. Average is about $0.45 to $0.50 per blade. Your price works out to $0.80 per blade. While I understand the price increases a little in smaller quantities, and it's admirable to help other B&B'ers try out this blade before committing to larger numbers, $0.80 per blade is just too much for me. You might also want to check out another thread (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=94315) posted by Austin in the last few hours.

I am not making a penny off this. I am offering this in case anyone wants to just try one pack of the feathers in this new packaging. I don't know if they are different to the yellow packs or not. I have heard three different stories about it. So I decided to order some from an ebay vendor from Singapore. All I did is prorate what I paid, added shipping and the $.30 + .029% fee that paypal charges me for payments. I fully realize buying them in quantity you pay less per blade. That doesn't mean I should ask for less than what I need to break even.
If this is what I get for trying to do something nice, I won't be doing it again. I'm more than happy to keep them for myself if no one wants to try them. But I'll leave it up for a week to see if anyone is interested, since there has been some interest.

Relax bro, he was just trying to point out that the price is a little high, and because of that you may not get as much interest. It is nice of you to pass along a great blade to some folks who may not be able to try them.
Pauldog sells them for $.25/blade plus a flat $1.50 in shipping.

I second that. Your intentions are well received and trying to pass along a trial of these blades is definitely a good thing, but the availability of these at $2.75 from Pauldog makes it a tough post to sell. This advisement is only for the benefit of the forum.

I took Tim's post as accusing me of trying to make a profit, which I'm not. I was not aware of Pauldog's deal. If he's selling full sealed packs and not just individual blades then that is a obviously a better deal.
I am open to trading packs for these if that suits you better, you can PM me and if you have something I don't have and wouldn't mind trying, we can swap.

Sorry Scott, it was never meant that way. I did say it was an admirable gesture, and I give credit to the gentleman you are. Is there an easy way to say your price might be a little too high without being offensive? Is it better to just not say anything? Does your higher price mean you're making money off the members here? It was never intended nor inferred. I listed Austin's earlier thread (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=94315) where many of these topics are discussed throughout the thread. Again, I'm sorry I offended you.

If I think someone is asking too high a price for something, I PM him. Then he can consider it and decide whether or not to lower the price.
If everyone thinks it's too expensive, there will be no buyers.
Then the seller can bump the post and reduce the price until there's a sale.
And so on.

This allows for those who know no better to unwittingly pay much more than needed.

I'd still like to get these out to someone who wants to try them before they commit to a large quantity, so I will take a little tiny hit to do it.

I maybe should have bought my feathers this way but after researching the new packaging to make as sure as I could that the black pkging was the same as the yellow, (blades that is) I bought 100 last nite.
I"ll know shortly because  My slant don't lie

Rest assured what you're getting from me are the same animal as the older stock yellow label packed blades, there is no 'supposedly' from me or the Singapore seller who the OP purchased these from - the US distributor needs to order a million blades at a time so they are still working their way through the old stock they are sitting on.
In time in everyone will be selling the new packaging

Your feedback coupled with what I already had learned is way enough for me to be convinced or I would not have purchased them! I got a great deal and will purchase more from you in the future.

There's another seller who I won't mention by name who says:
"The 5 packs (red/black packaging) have been around for a while now, I have them in stock for sale whenever I run out of the 10 packs but I can assure that the yellow packs I have are more recent (production) than then 5 packs."
Pureslab says:
"These are the same exact blades in the new more modern packaging - the yellow label are old stock."
Vendor 3 says:
"These are maybe less sharp than Yellow FEATHERs.
I am not 100% sure."
So you see, even though I prefer Pureslab to be right, (even though he hijacked my thread ) as it would make things alot easier; I had to purchase some to try anyway, despite having other Feathers at home already (It's the RBAD, you know:biggrin:). I thought others might feel the same and wish to purchase a small quantity.
I can do one more order of 2 for $6 or 1 plus free sharp stainless or 7am platinum for $3.25, then I'm done with my mini-sample experiment.

I am impressed with the sellers patience. But for others, talk about thread stompin! Starting to sound like a car dealership in here.

Some courtesies SHOULD be second nature... A PRIVATE message or ANOTHER thread, perhaps....
I think that the folks who believe hijacks like this are OK...Would be screamin for a MOD if the situation were reversed
Poor showing by some...
If you think I am that ignorant to question this, please, put me on your ignore list

Well we were able to find all the blades new homes where they will be keeping their new owners whisker-free in return for their new homes. Good luck.
Edit: All blades have been shipped, either Friday or Saturday.

Thanks for the offer - If I wanted to try feathers before making a commitment it would have been a great way to go. If I were to order a 10 pack from fendrihan in Canada it would have cost me 7.95 CDN plus 9-something CND for delivery. That works out at least to 15$ US. I appreciate that you pretty much gave the blades away, to give people a chance to try them.
