EDIT This Thread is a Merged conglomeration of three large threads...

There's a New Czar in Town, No Title and whtvr threads are now The "New" Anything Thread. This is an homage to the long running Anything Thread that saw its title and location change numerous times. All in fun, of course. EDIT x2 The April Fools Thread has been merged.

We all know that there are some threads out there competing to become the longest threads ever. Let's do our best to make the title of this thread as inaccurate as possible.

I'll start the ball rolling with an inflammatory, random comment:

PI is exactly 3!

You know, that's a good question. I'm pretty sure I didn't start this thread here. Did the mods move it? Or did I accidentaly start it in the wrong place? At any rate, nefarious discussions in dark rooms is probably how Pi got it's start. If someone doesn't discover "e" soon, this thread is going to be known as the Pi thread. I guess it's better to find a thread in your Pi than to find a hair in it. :eek2:

Actually it was at least the aleph_0+1'st irrational number discovered. Theaetetus of Athens is credited with demonstrating that the square root of any non-square non-negative integer is irrational between 415 and 369 BCE.

I've got a cd sampler of Japanese music and it has a song on there called "Little Suzy with the big big tongue" You just thought you've had a song stuck in your head... That song will have you going around for days saying "UUUH-OOOOOOH!" in a shrill, high-pitched shout. What makes the song worse is that the rest of it is pretty much incomprehensible except for the phrase "little suzy has a big big tongue, UUH-OOOOOOH!"

This is my 1128th!!!!!
I remember my 300thish post....I was around 150's, when I got a PM response from Ouch...let's just say it seems like I posted 5-6 more times, and all the sudden I'm at 300.
Now, I had intended to make some kind of announcement at 300, but I blew past it without even knowing it. Then there was 500, then all the sudden 1000. I still theorize, like the woman who just touched Jesus' robe and was healed, Ouch's PM did some kinda weird post-healing to my username or something. At that time, Ouch's post-odometer had already rolled over, and in fact was just slightly behind my count, so I determined I would try to stay in front of him, you know, to stay on the lead lap...............well, it didn't take long for that plan to fail enormously. It's just crazy to think that the gentleman that introduced me to this site a few months after his joining, the one with the most info to add to the site, is trying to catch up with me now. The problem is, I quit thinking about my post count, and I think it started multiplying over night or something. And then there's the custom title....for awhile myself and aforementioned gentleman thought and tried many many things to get a custom title...then one day I stopped thinking about it and BAM!!! Now I feel like a PBS special on Mastication: the hidden dangers, all this just to ramble on about nothing and to ramble on about nothing and to ramble on about nothing else....

By the way, Congratulations! :biggrin1:

Wait wait. Here we're combining two Richard Pryor roles. The fractional cents bit is clearly from Superman III, where hacker Gus Gorman is stealing the 1/2 cents from Webscoe Industries. Brewster's Millions on the other hand, has Monty Brewster trying to spend his $30 mil inheritance within the time limit in order to win $300 mil. Still, Gorman only got $85,789.90 but then got to become a henchman.

In any case, my allegiance to both geekdom and Superman prevented me from not pointing this out, I hope you'll understand.

If we work real hard at it, I think we can break 300 before the next week is out... Let's pull it together guys. Let's show those guys over at the other 2 threads how it's done! It'd be awesome if we could break 500 before the long weekend ended. Shouldn't be too hard if we can bait every active member on the board into making at least 1 post each. Maybe we should use some keywords so we get flagged when people do searches for their favorite topics...

So while I was shaving my head with a straight razor I looked over at my broken Stahly, next to the B&B Best Badger Brush Prototype. It reminded me of the time I used Linux Mint to try and guess the movie that was playing on t.v. and then a commercial for Sam Adams came on, and I remembered that bottle of Utopia I had sitting in the fridge. "Does your sister have a chicken?" I said to myself as I thought of my favorite dirty punchline while I decanted some Aqua Velva into a brandy snifter and topped it off with a little Pinaud's Bay Rum, creating the ultimate aftershave splash cocktail. Fred Rogers would have been proud with the way I Chuck Norrised a name into a verb, and spoliated the shaving section at Crabtree and Evelyn yesterday, and I can rest easy knowing that I'll be checking out the gams on TWGW while she admires my BBS face.

Yea you know me!

My brother put an ad in a newspaper with some of the lyrics of OPP back in 2001 with his phone number. The responses he got were hilarious.

You down with Other Peoples Pi?

This thread is not dead yet, it's merely enjoying the long weekend!

"I'm not dead yet, I might go for a walk."
"Yes you are, you're not fooling anyone."
"But I'm not dead!"
"You will be soon."
"I feel happy... I feel fine!"

I thought for sure we'd break 300 what with the long weekend... oh well, even I was largely absent. I started a record collection over the weekend. You should see it. I plan on posting about it on my blog soon. Got some real winners. One of my personal favorites: "Teach your pet bird to talk."

Actually, I was thinking of using the record for audio samples in a homemade mix.

I'm just glad to have moved on from top toggle-- pixellated Daisy was starting to wear thin.

HAL: I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.
Dave Bowman: Yes, I'd like to hear it, HAL. Sing it for me.
HAL: It's called "Daisy."
[sings while slowing down]
HAL: Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.
