This is worrisome, indeed. I had considered the vice-czar (not to mention mod thirdeye) a fixture around here, and both are virtually non-existent of late (Ray is around, but not nearly to the extent he used to be). The whole feel of the forum is diffrerent without those two popping up everywhere I look!

Well without Limecat what's his parole officer to do? It's worrisome though. How sick was he anyway when you met in Vegas, Rich?

My cat will start to play with one and when his head goes through the handle, he starts to run around. He is running from the noisy bag that is chasing him. Usually he stops and starts backing up.

That was a blast. My wife can't believe I took off and met with "internet friends", but hey....I'm still here - I think?

Doug, I forgot to tell you just now, you had a great idea for the stick, and I added to it....don't know how I forgot - oh yeah, that's right, you're wife's cries of glory for getting on facebook again...

I didn't comment on the "internet friends" comment yesterday, but my wife is worse than that. She is embarrassed by these meet ups in some sense, but she's actually met Whitebar and really likes him. So after we take Mr & Mrs Soapbox out for sushi, maybe she'll be singing a different tune:thumbup1:

The Czar is in da hizzie.

Art's kingship is acknowledged universally and the Czar makes no infringing claims. To state that repeatedly in Our Pronouncements would be redundant and unnecessary.

That's a very astute observation, Sire, although it's possible "Y'all betta check yoselvz..." could also be interpreted as "Sirs, perhaps it would behoove you all to appreciate the ramifications of your positions in regards to the magnificence before you. Should you choose not to heed this warning, I worry for your health and safety...". However, all loyal subjects should of course interpret it with the alacrity and wisdom you exhibit, so "You had better be sure you understand" is indeed correct.

From what I've seen, no one that 'tries' to get a custom title, gets one. Therefore, you aren't really trying, but you are leading some to believe you are, when in fact you WANT them to believe that you are not really trying, thereby, in actuality, trying to get one because you appear to not be getting one even though you are saying that you are trying but not really trying and therefore trying...

Three trips to Home Depot.
Much of the day spent repairing a washer and dryer I didn't originally think needed repairing.
Got to jerry-rig the clothes washer pretty well. The wife was seriously impressed.
Helpful hint: take care of the UL-approved strain relief first when installing new power cables for dryers. Otherwise...you'll have to go back to square one.
Shocked myself once on the 240 volt line (I was tired and angry, what can I say -- stupid strain relief).
Got a nice call from Richmondesi. I think we're both eager to show our wives that our internet friends aren't creepy -- but rather, complete, whole, interesting, fun human beings.
My wife had fun with the cordless drill (uh oh).

The Secret life a Pi. Was that the title of a book?

The Life of Pi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_of_Pi) is an adventure novel, but isn't about the ratio of a circle's circumference to its radius; when I first saw the book, I was curious too -- since there are all kinds of books out there about odd bits of mathematical history like phi (http://www.amazon.com/Golden-Ratio-Worlds-Astonishing-Number/dp/0767908163) and e (http://www.amazon.ca/e-Story-Number-Eli-Maor/dp/0691058547). Naturally there's already one about pi (http://www.amazon.ca/History-PI-Petr-Beckmann/dp/0312381859/ref=pd_sim_b_2/181-4967137-0960668).

I have a drill X 2, circular saw, jig saw, right angle drill, reciprocating saw, angle grinder, and two flash lights. All DeWalt 18V. I have corded ones too, but they are a back-up.

Back-ups? But James Bond never needed no back-up... :hand:

I love my cordless drill!:001_smile
I love all of my cordless tools. Then again, I just love all of my tools.

Yeah, I only have a cordless drill/driver, but it makes life a lot easier. I have a corded drill too, but unless the 14.4v battery is dead, it collects dust.

Hanging pictures and shelving re-assembly would be much more miserable without it!
I've had lots of cordless tools, too, and love them all...but the past couple of years have seen me move more towards corded most of the time.
Oh, I still use and love cordless, but some of my more recent projects require more time and power (hey dad, I'm growing up!), and battery doesn't meet that requirement most of the time.
That said, I have a battery powered weed eater that is the best weed eater I've ever owned...cutting time, of course, is short, but it runs exactly long enough for me to trim the house and fence...and has enough power to decapitate a copperhead! (discovered quite by accident, of course; had I seen said copperhead before it was chopped, the only way I'd've tried to kill it with said weed eater would be to throw it at said snake )

I was talking to Micah earlier, and I think I'm going to pass the samples I have from Jesse to you and him so we can all have a go with them and let him know what our thoughts are...I've gotten several shaves with #5 in, so I'll get that to one of ya'll next. You both already have #10, but we'll kinda have a Distraction Green Mountain Soap Pass going on...with Jesse's approval, of course!

Absolutely! I know the folks appreciate any and all feedback. I love the idea of a Green Mountain [Shaving] Soap pass!

One funny thing I noticed yesterday when shaving with #10 for the first time -- man, this Denton water is way, way, way better than the Maryland water I had been using. I need to go back to all the other samples to re-establish a baseline for lathering. Gah!

I wonder how bottled water would work.
