Agreed. but nothing beats the good, old-fashioned, artery clogging, heavily buttered movie theater popcorn.
There is a guy near Ionia, Michigan that bought his first theater as a teenager and ran them until he retired. Now, he has a theater set up in his house and provides shows for his friends. Via a mutual friend, I took my Mom & Dad there for their anniversary one year to watch Casablanca.
The guy still gets the same popcorn supplies he had used for decades. That was the best. He had a full concession stand with candy and soda, too.

Cooked up some real bacon yesterday in my cast iron skillet. There's something very satisfying about seasoning my cast iron with real bacon instead of Crisco, etc. It feels more...earned. Plus, my cast iron is starting (as in, just a little) to resemble the smooth-as-glass cast iron skillets my grandmother had. 50 or 60 years of occasional cleaning with steel wool had worn them smooth.
My mother always said it was very fortunate that my grandmother had two good black iron skillets -- otherwise my mom and her sister would have had a terrible fight for the One True Skillet after my grandmother died.

Yeah, I couldn't go last year because my wife was about 8 months pregnant and this year I'm in a new, non-Mac-centric job, so my connection to WWDC is fading fast. But I have a few neat pieces of swag here and there. And the T-shirts. Oh God the Apple store T-shirts are wonderful.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but Sunday I had hippie bacon, a.k.a. Turkey Bacon. I paid for it all day with heartburn. NO MORE, I told begged the LOTH.
Traitor to all things good, delicious and holy!
And as many a McDonald's patron has probably wondered, where are the nuggets on a chicken?
Well that's because those come from roosters!

It's pretty surprising: when I look in the mirror I don't see a gene pool capable of creating (half of) such a little beauty. And, of course, I'm completely incapable of being objective about such matters. So, thanks. :biggrin1:
