Because we descend on other people's threads.

Well... I *probably* should have walked away from that particular statement by that particular member. But I just couldn't let it go. :bored: I feel a built guilty about causing someone else's perfectly normal thread to get locked. The one gent just irritated me.

I had a really bad day. Then it got a bit better. But mostly it was bad.
My tutor picked on every little thing I did "wrong" (ie: had never been told otherwise and didn't know I was doing anythig wrong)
And I got all stressed and horrible about things. And then I had to go straight from college to work (normally there'll be a half an hour break for me between).
And tomorrow I get to do it all again. Up at 7am and home at midnight and on my feet all day in between.
I need huggles and someone to tell me to go to bed.

Another freakin' quake! Ugh, I'm so sick of the ground shaking. The US reported it as a 7.4 (some sources 7.1) but it turns out it was actually three quakes in chain reaction. This one was even closer to me but luckily it was further out to sea and deeper under the ocean. It shook the crap out of us and we lost power. Luckily power is back up now and we didn't sustain any damage.

Wow! I don't envy you. Hang in there.

Speaking of bluegrass. I was so thrilled the other day when my son sent me a text and asked me for a list of bluegrass instrumentals. So I got busy going through my collection on my iPod. Some of the obvious ones like, Foggy Mountain Breakdown and Cripple Creek, were at the top of the list along with Soldier's Joy and a few others. After one of my step-daughter's became a Rhonda Vincent fan I was really feeling great to have my son join the group.
So later that day when he called I asked him if he had a chance to look over the list. He said thanks and yes he did. Then he drops this on me, "I have this guy that is bumming rides and I wanted some really annoying music to play when he is in the car." :a35:

After one of my step-daughter's became a Rhonda Vincent fan I was really feeling great to have my son join the group.
So later that day when he called I asked him if he had a chance to look over the list. He said thanks and yes he did. Then he drops this on me, "I have this guy that is bumming rides and I wanted some really annoying music to play when he is in the car." :a35:

I want to purchase a sewing machine. Hopefully my next one will be fairly nice. I've always had older ones from garage sales. However, I am regulated to sewing by hand now since my wife is keeping the sewing machine. Lord knows why. The only time she had ever used it I had to set it up for her and teach her the basics and then come help every now and then. But, if it makes her happy, whatever. :thumbup1:

Amusingly, I left most everything but my weapons, mostly as a show of goodwill. The weapons, I just wanted to have a few of them with me and ended up with all of them. But, as you mentioned, she wants to sell off my tools. Money is never something I've been concerned about. not that I don't need it but I don't want to think about it. She was the financially minded one. So, there will be some negotiating there, I am sure.
Now, the only thing we have fought about during this is my camera. She "left" it at her brother's house. I asked to borrow it. Two and a half months later, I still don't have it. I missed some great photography and am quite angry. I had even said I would negotiate the camera with her but after that, I said no, the camera is mine. End of discussion. I gave her a deadline and told her she was about to start a war if I didn't get it back. She finally admitted she did it on purpose because she knew how much it meant to me. Granted, I still don't have it but she has agreed to give it to me. That has been our only rough spot through this whole thing.
It's sad, she aimed for a nerve and I knew it. But I still reacted. But I was still very methodical about it. I'm telling you, when you let emotion interfere, everyone loses. :thumbdown

Well, a lot of the tools won't be too big a thing. I don't have a place for all of the stuff like a sandblast cabinet or parts washer. Stuff like that can be replaced cheaply enough when I do. Heck, hardly used them anyhow. Now, I have an awesome table saw I bought brand new. I don't want to see that go. But it is mostly my hand and power tools I want. Not as much the shop stuff. But, I also already know I'll be putting together a good tool set for her to have also. She isn't completely helpless with tools. I have taught her a lot.
Amusing story: Years ago, our best friends were over and I was working on something. I asked for channel locks. My friend started berating me, mocking me about, "Like any of us would know what channel locks are." Obviously, he wasn't a hands on type guy. He didn't notice my wife step out of the room. He was still making fun of me when she stepped back in, handed me the channel locks and I resumed what I was doing. Buzz stood there in silence for a second (A rare thing for him.) and then said, "Well, I guess she made me an a**!" I quietly said, "She had nothing to do with it."
In hind sight, he really was. I don't know why I liked him.
Well, I guess that's to be expected some in such a situation, but if that's it then you're very lucky. I've seen some friends and family members go through some rather nasty divorces.
I really am lucky. We both want to handle this well. Now, she has moments where she gets a little hurtful. But, I remind myself that I'm the bad guy and deserve it so I do not react in kind. So it never has a chance to snowball into anything. I also know that isn't her, she's just hurt. I am rather proud of her for the most part. :thumbup1:
Are you at least getting your spare clutch cables in the settlement?

From wikipedia:
A common joke in Virginia, referencing the image on the state seal and dating at least as far back as the Civil War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Civil_War), is that "Sic semper tyrannis" actually means "Get your foot off my neck."[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sic_semper_tyrannis#cite_note-4)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/6f/Seal_of_Virginia.svg/220px-Seal_of_Virginia.svg.png
After seeing the gray bong that dude is holding I always assumed Sic Semper Tyrannis was latin for "Puff, puff, give."
You just can't catch a break, can you? I'm glad everyone is ok.
Seriously! The first time I was stationed here (2002-2004) and the first three years of this present tour I didn't mind it all. Some were more severe than others but they seemed to be more spread out and less life altering. Now when I feel the slightest tremor it just totally pisses me off. I can't wait to return to the States next year.
Wow! I don't envy you. Hang in there.

I'd rather eat Blake's chaps.
Dude!! How is this not a custom title?:lol::lol:
I've seen custom title fodder posted before, but I must say, this one really takes the cake. In fact, I think the only thing more egregious would be to ignore it. If we took a poll on whether to assign this to the mighty Duckster I'm certain it would even out do the "Art is king" option.

Have you met Dennis? :whistling:
Ahem. :glare: OK, I've darned my socks a few times, but I've never made a dress.
He cuts down trees. He skips and jumps.
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on Mrs. T's clothing and hangs around in bars.
He's a trucker but he's ok... .he drives all night... he drives all day....
Sounds like your getting Dennis mixed up with this guy here...

It could become the ABC Thread, as in The All Blake in Chaps Thread. The tag line could be "All Blake (in Chaps), All the Time!!!" Yeehaa!
Shut it.:mad3:
I don't hear that very often. Besides short people are awesome!

Probably for the same reason Tony liked Eddy Haskel.

OK, you changed the thread name, but how could you have possibly missed THIS (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=3014727&postcount=55390) and the several comments about Duckster's new title.
