...I wave enthusiastically to at least one stranger I drive past a day, not to be friendly, but because I know it will confuse them....
Just make sure you wave all five fingers! :001_rolle

Okay, my absence has taken longer than I anticipated. So, because you are my friends, I will give a simple update. For those who wish for more info, you'll have to contact me privately. So, here goes.

Sadly, Mrs. Blackfoot & I are separated now. I moved out over New Years weekend. This is my doing and not her fault. There is a lot involved but I am essentially leaving behind my family and friends. Many of you know that I was going through some major stuff when I joined B&B 2 years ago. Well, that never really got resolved. I have decided to fix that. I wish there was another way but I haven't found it in the last two years.

I am now living with another officer I work with. It has been a difficult time but I have one friend in particular that has really been a pillar for me to lean on. It is hard on my wife and family also. But as emotionally difficult as it's been, I have not felt this good in a very long time. Two years ago, my problems actually affected my job. This time, it has not. In fact, only a handful of people at work even know anything is going on. This alone tells me I'm handling it well. Even my best friend says I am. However, she also saw me at the darkest moment I had. So, I am doing well. Can't complain.

I haven't been around because I can't get my bloody computer to connect to the wireless network for some reason. I'm out of ideas. In fact, while I'm here, I should pop over to Linux Mint.
Glad you're doing well, Blake, although I know this is still stressful. Since you're stressed out, I won't ask how come your kettleball is smoking in Rob's video.

Come to think of it, I wasn't going to ask anyway, 'cause I'd afraid you might answer! :blushing:

I thought I was about to leave, but the wife has to dry her hair first.

Most of you remember the tragic news about my sister with the death of her husband. Well, she found out 2 weeks ago that she is pregnant. She is just over 2 months along, and the baby will be due in August.

While some would be scared to death about raising a child on their own, and everything that goes with it, this has been just the thing she needed. It has completely brought her out of the hole, and she is very excited.

Just as the thread name suggest it is the thread about "anything." Since it is in the Clown House mostly we just joke around with each other. After a while a funny thing happens. If you hang around long enough you become friends. Then when real life happens and things in the real world aren't so funny, or are down right sad and tragic, here we are. We are TAT (The Anything Thread). :w00t:

My wife said that it had been in the back of her mind ever since we learned of my bil's passing. She said it would just be the ultimate irony. It's also one of the most amazing things in the universe. Oh, and my sister has also been told since she was 19 that she would never have kids. :001_rolle

How about I just drink the bourbon you send me and then eat the pie. :w00t:

To take your mind off the mail mice, you need to state your case with the nearest mod for Pirate Talk as a title for Jethro1984.

By order of the Czar: Henceforth Jethro-1984 shall be titled "Pirate Talk Talker." So let it be written. So let it be done.

Oh and a side note, i went to a place that one of their appetizers is a bucket of in-house made bacon with a tiny jar of maple syrup. I have to say it was fantastic bacon and probably the porkiest i've ever eaten.

However, Mrs. Jakespoppy had other breakfast plans this morning. We are going to a basketball game this morning (7-year olds), so we're having Greek Yougurt with walnuts, a banana, a spoonful of peanut butter, and coffee.

I will share 2 spoiler-free quotes from the new Tron.

"Awe Man, you're messing with my Zen."

"Radical man."

I kept waiting for him mix a white Russian.

Well, that's enough for me. I never liked the original Tron, and I hate The Big Lebowski.

Thanks, Rob. My wife just got back home a few minutes ago. Her father passed, officially, at 3 AM. They are saying it was an ruptured ulcer, but he had been at the hospital the night before and was treated for stomach flu. I wasn't there, so I don't know all the details. Funeral is pending, probably late in the week. My wife said he was never conscious, and from what she could gather, had been brain dead since about 10PM.

Crocheted cape now Randy? Oh, how '70s. Did you get the matching macrame "man purse" to go with?

He was working up to chain mail. Imaging having to fit chain mail to a growing child. You would have a lot of rework based on growth.
You have to start somewhere.

Good luck, Darren! Just don't bring up bacon. Not everyone out there understands and appreciates you like we do. :thumbup1:

Good fortune to you!

"How 70's"? That WAS the 70's. Or, maybe a "few" years before the 70's.

Darren's and GD's love of bacon started at a very young age.

Continued prayers for your wife and her/your family. Now the healing process can begin.

Well TATers, I'm off for a job interview at a placement agency, wish me luck.

Good luck!

Thanks to all for the thoughts and kind words. The funeral will not be until Saturday, the family has requested an autopsy which is supposed to be done tomorrow. Originally the State Medical Examiner ruled that there was no sign of criminal negligence of any kind, and that everything was as it should. Somehow, my wife's aunt managed to get the hospital to pay for one (cost is $5k, which the family did not have). There has to be more to this than what I currently know, and I am shocked that the hospital has agreed to pay for the cost.

I'll probably be off Thursday & Friday since my employer only give 2 bereavement days. i figure as the week goes along, my wife will need me around a little more.

Anyhow, thought I would check in.

My uncle (mom's brother) and his wife had a narrow miss today. Around 1pm a single engine plane crashed into the RV campground they are staying at in Myrtle Beach. The plane blasted a hole and exploded into one RV and slid across the drive into the side of their RV. Both seem to be OK, but are shaken.

I haven't actually talked to them, but just talked to my cousin's wife on FB, and she confirmed they are OK. And I just read the article and watched an interview that the Myrtle Beach newspaper has on their website.
