So, Mrs. Blackfoot just reminded me a little bit ago that The Mississinewa 1812 War Reenactment (http://www.mississinewa1812.com/) is this weekend. This is the largest 1812 War reenactment there is and is held about 45 minutes from my place. I religiously go every year. I unfortunately missed all of the other similar events in the area this year so this may be the only one I break my character out for this year.

I had no idea there were War of 1812 reenactments, or as New Englanders once said, "Mr Madison's War".

I had a very good day, thanks. Got to play on here a little, while doing a little work. No meltdowns, thankfully. And I'm looking forward to the weekend. Tomorrow morning we get to watch 7 year olds play baseball, and then we're heading to a Trade Days at a small town about an hour away, so that should be fun.

And you don't have to tell me what planet you're from. I'll go back and look at your earlier post. I remember it had a funny name. Just don't send any scary pumpkins my way. Pumpkin pies would be okay....No, I've seen pics of your pumpkin pies. That wouldn't be okay, that would be freakin' awesome if you sent your pumpkin pies this way.

Warning! Serious razor discussion*

My Gnat razor arrived from England yesterday. It is a really neat little silver (plate?) razor. I requested and Phil very kindly sent me what information he had on it. Thank you Phil.

Wait's indicated that the manufacturer was "Summerfield" with an address. Unfortunately I couldn't verify this. When I entered the address in google maps I found it is now home to "Summerfied Day Nursery".
I had more luck verifying Wait's patent information (the patent no. 148581 is stamped on the razor handle). The Gnat patent was applied for May 31, 1918 and granted Aug. 5, 1920 to Tom Percy Bentley.

All other google searching using: Tom Percy Bentley, Gnat razor, summerfield, British, England, patent number 148581, and combinations
thereof have so far yielded nothing, nahda, zip. :thumbdown

Now for some razor porn! He cleans up nice. :w00t:

I don't like my food to look at me.

With that being said, when I was very young (pre-kindergarten), I asked my father how they got the baby chicks out of eggs, you know, so you could buy the eggs and eat them? He just said he didn't know. A little disturbing.

The next answer I got (I don't remember from who) was, "They don't." More disturbing.I'm sorry you had such a disturbing childhood. When I was 4 or 5, we went to the fair, and I saw cows hooked up to milking machines. What I saw was cows, and tubes that were solid white connected to big machines. For a long time, I thought cows got their milk from those machines at the fair..

I would be caught up, now, but I'm sure you all have been posting more pages of nonsense while I've been trying to catch up. :thumbup1:

I don't like my food to look at me.

My food should be a good conversationalist. I hate to eat in silence.

Well, Mrs. Blackfoot and I went to a pub for dinner. As we were leaving, I was texting one of my fellow officers and discovered he was in town with his wife. We were wanting to get our wives together sometime so we met at another place. In the process, I had texted the third of our three musketeers trio of doom. He agreed to call in and meet us. I was surprised but a little too toasted to care. This was going to be awesome!

Well, he took a while, and then ended up at the wrong place. Then, he had a drink before leaving and still went to the wrong place. We then told him we would meet him but he said he was on his way. Then, he got pulled over. $140 ticket and blew a .07. .08 is the limit in Indiana. That was close, especially since he is going through the hiring process for a police department. He then says a friend called from a nearby bar. He was going to go there and have a drink and get her to come with him to meet up with us. By this time, we have been waiting two hours for him. Everyone was tired and ready to go home. Had he shown up, we would likely have been out all night. So, I quietly texted him and said he needed to get here or we were leaving. Then, he sent one of the most aggravating texts I have ever seen. He informed me he had been messing with us and had never called in to work. He was at work screwing with us. :cursing:

This did not help with the wives and really upset the two of us, his friends. I just got home twenty minutes ago.

That's what I said after you said it, too.

I'm sorry you had such a disturbing childhood.

:thumbup1:

My food should be a good conversationalist. I hate to eat in silence.

What the heck have you been eating boy?

Would it have been that hard to let you guys know he just couldn't make it? :001_huh:

I don't like my food to look at me.

With that being said, when I was very young (pre-kindergarten), I asked my father how they got the baby chicks out of eggs, you know, so you could buy the eggs and eat them? He just said he didn't know. A little disturbing.

The next answer I got (I don't remember from who) was, "They don't." More disturbing.

6-year olds are funny that way. They don't think too much of their actions as hurting someone else's feelings, which sometimes makes them appear to be rude or mean, when they don't mean to be at all.

Exactly! It's what happens when some of your digital signal is lost or scrambled. And as any nerd (you know who you are) knows the digital signal is really binary code. Now you may have noticed a few TATers (you know who you are) flair post milestones in base two (binary). Okay, Intrigued, I've done my homework, and I think I know what your message is about .

I googled "STM" and found "Sacrae Theologiae Magister". But since nothing is sacred around here, I moved on. Googling further, I found the definition of "pixelation" as "the process of digitizing a printed image". This makes sense, considering all the printed images that get posted around here, mostly by Swampfox.

So I'm pretty sure now this has something to do with Swampfox. I google the phrase "brain cell pixelation", and find the key, in comments to a blog by a person named "Sleep Talkin' Man". The comments include references to vampire penguins, zombie guinea pigs, lobotomized pigmy goats, medium-sized unicorns, and kittens with too many whiskers. I'm pretty sure Swampfox has posted pictures on all of those recently, and we've discussed them.

I take one more google ride, and find the definition of "pixology" is "an interactive boutique studying the habits of pixels in their natural interweb habiTAT." A pretty obvious reference to a small-scale study taking place in the TAT thread.

Intrigued, are you trying to warn us that Swampfox is posting all of these bizarre animal pictures so he can study us?

And is your separate study going to be of us (), or are you turning this around and studying Swampfox while he's studying us (:thumbup1:)?

But first, I need to make another Starbucks run. Okay, back to the research then. And since we know we're being watched, I'll check again to make sure my webcam is turned the right direction. No, I mean away from me!

But first, I need to make another Starbucks run. I think I need to understand a little better the correlation between sleep deprivation following normal weekend activities followed by over-stimulation from peak-day caffeine injestion, and what I believe would be their conflicting impacts on brain cell pixellation, although they may both actually be contributors.

*It just never sounds right when I stretch so far that it hurts trying to sound way smarter than my pay grade!*

Just blame it on being sleep depraved....... eerrr... deprived.

Though personally, I like to blame all my shortcomings on being old. If I have to be old I'm gonna use it.

:lol::lol::lol:

I'm okay with getting old. The alternative sucks, and I like your idea of playing to our strengths.

I'm pretty much okay with being considered depraved - it's such an arbitrary, subjective thing anyway. You know, like what is considered depraved in our culture might be perfectly acceptable on the planet that Crafty comes from.

I'm much less willing to be deprived. It's just doesn't play well with my O/C tendencies that drive my AD's.

Do you use thread or are you really authentic and use the dried and unraveled tendons from the back muscles of the buck from whom you robbed the skin?

For cloth, I use linen thread. For the leather, I use artificial sinew.

Hello TnATers. I'm off visiting the hinterlands of the Czardom for a few days and stuck on ethernet connection that's barely faster than dialup. You'll likely not see much of me over the next two or three days.

Hello from Nitro, WV. I'll be in Roanoke tomorrow. Roanoke, VA that is.

2 hours up the road!

Intrigued, are you trying to warn us that Swampfox is posting all of these bizarre animal pictures so he can study us?

And is your separate study going to be of us (), or are you turning this around and studying Swampfox while he's studying us (:thumbup1:)?

AT work we have a a bunch of telemarketers and bill collectors looking for different guys in the shop. Today one called for someone who does not, nor has ever worked there. Of course, it's one of those guys that runs a telemarketing/bill collecting agency out of his convenience store in New Delhi.

Bill Collector: "Hello, may I please speek wit Ah-run (last name unintelligible)."

Me: "There is no one here by that name."

BC: "Are you sure?"

Now, I am the Shop Office Clerk. It's my business to know who everyone in that shop is. I close out their work orders, handle their time cards, vacation time, etc. So, I was feeling a little full of myself.

Me: "Yes, I am quite sure, there is no one here with that name."

BC: "Then let me speak with your HR department."

Me: "We don't have one" True, HR is located at Corporate in Richmond, VA.

BC: "Then, let me speak with your HR Rep."

Being the smart @$$ that I am, I said, "We killed the last one we had and threw his body in the oil pit."

BC: "Uh, thank you, goodbye." And he hung up. My boss is sitting behind me, laughing his head off, and said, "I wondered what happened to that guy!"

Its probably going to be a mid December to mid January visit. I'm flying my Grandma to Indy from Maine, my aunt from Texas and getting my kids from Michigan. Its going to be an insanely busy trip at an insanely busy time but if there is some way to get together you can rest assured I'll let you know.

Oh, I see how it is. Put your family in front of weird guys you met online. Geez, some people.:lol::lol:

Okay, so here is the newest thing. There is a new Behavioral Health Assessment guy starting. He will work every Tuesday night. One of the other Assessment guys is encouraging us to.....introduce him to the job. One of the officers decided we would put him in restraints with a spit hood and he can screw with the guy. As the officer is telling me the scheme, which sounds great to me, I am already plotting a double cross. The third of our trio is already in and we still have to talk to the Captain. My plan is, once we get the officer in the restraint and the stage is set, we leave him. I mean, come on! If he is stupid enough to allow us to place him in four-points, how can he possibly hold us responsible?

So have you guys done the....eerrr...aahh... assessment yet? :sneaky2:

:lol::lol::lol:

Okay, you have to share with us his assessment of your "behavioral health".

*Note to self - NEVER volunteer to work with Blake!*

Same stupid story over and over. I don't know why they don't just go out and shoot the guy that did it. They are going to eventually anyhow. It would just be easier to get it all out of the way at once.
