Yeah? I have chondromalacia in both knees due to alignment issues and lots of running and biking. I'm thinking about swimming. But interesting results, Rich. I'll give it a look.
It's so hot here, the snakes won't get on the pavement.
I've got some hemlock that'll cure all that ails you...
You'd fall out of your chaior (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/member.php?u=5674)?
I've got the glucosamine and chondroitin caplets, and they do seem to help some.
Like I said, the ladies in this thread rock.
Welcome back! Haven't forgotten about your offer to make a warm hat for SBJr. At his 2 month checkup, his skull measured 77th percentile, so I'm sort of at loose ends trying to figure out what size to request for winter.
OK, that's some really painful showing off there, moneybags. :glare:
You might make it by tomorrow.
Ha! What's the giveaway -- the sorbitol? Or the sum of the ingredients matches a melt-n-pour brand you've seen?
Tell me about it.
Da! Perhaps can destroy Moose too?

Word.
So I've gotten the UPS and USPS shipping rate APIs to work, I've learned a bunch about encryption, and more about CGI scripts and modules. Thank heavens for Perl (http://www.perl.org/). So now, once I learn the PayPal APIs ("gee Jesse, is that all?") I'll be able to bring the GMS shopping cart into the early 21st century. I swear, if they weren't my parents... :biggrin1:
...oh yeah, which reminds me, I got #24 last night. :tongue_sm Slight change to the Lime-Vetiver. Such a great scent.
Oh, and due to performance issues, we're erasing the Linux visualization cluster and starting over with another Linux distribution. I'm getting too old for this :censored:.

Sadly, I can't disagree with that statement. Except that some of the women are younger and most drive SUVs of some sort. Usually reading, calling, and putting on make up while driving.

Not in South Jersey that I am aware of. Of course, if you're going up north, and happen to find yourself in the vicinity of Clifton there is always Rutt's Hutt, of Route 21, and the "Tick Tock" Diner on Route 3 Westbound. Though your best bet for a truck may be the 6 Brothers Diner over in Little Falls, on Route 46 East bound, just before it hits Route 3.
I'm pretty sure I have seen trucks parked at Rutt's. I'm not sure about the Tick Tock, and think I have seen them at 6 Brothers.

Okay, update:
My first post that you guys thought was so short was a brief moment I had at home. I have a friend that owns a business in Fort Wayne that does reupohlstering. On the way home, I stopped by. He replaced a snap in my chaps and we added new foam to an old helmet of mine. I wanted to buy a new half helmet and he wanted to go to lunch. I hurried home and changed out of my uniform and made that post and took off. When we stopped for lunch, I had five missed calls.
I called my wife and found out my grandma was going to be taken to the hospital here in town. Remember, my grandma is only 66 years old. They live in a town about an hour away. Everyone had been trying to get a hold of me. My wife had left work and was on her way to Portland to get my grandpa and bring to Fort Wayne. Grandma was at the local hospital being prepared for transfer. So, I now know something is wrong but I can't do anything but wait.
So, I go to the Honda shop. I ended up buying the most awesome helmet that has a visor that slides up into the helmet and has interchangeable lenses. This made my wife very mad. I spent three times what I had planned and she didn't know I had planned any. I made sure to tell her while she was still in Portland to give time to cool before she got within killing range of me.
I got to the hospital right after grandma got settled into a room. Grandma is the Matriarch, the one that takes care of her family. Caregivers do not make the best patients. She was mad because she had to wear a gown, couldn't eat, etc. She is not mean was was very nice to staff, but clearly not pleased. One thing to remember, my grandma is a very prim and proper person in appearance. This situation does not suit her.
To make matters worse, my Aunt was in Holland, Michigan. The whole family didn't get there until night time. Heck, Skklog didn't get there until late because of work. But, he knew Mom and I had everything under control. Grandpa is pretty slow, so it took her a while to get him to the hospital, although he moved pretty quick because he was pretty upset. Still, it bought me time with the helmet.
Grandma's blood pressure had been 220 over 146. She had had problems last week, but we thought it was okay. It looks like she is fine and should be going home today or Sunday. It looks like it is just a medication issue. So, we were worried but everything is fine. They were able to prevent a stroke and she will be fine. :thumbup1:
On the plus side, it was the perfect smokescreen for the helmet and I have had no repercussions.

Glad to hear your grandmother is okay.

1) Went for a ride with my Uncle and my Dad this afternoon. It was a lot of fun. We stopped at a little stand in Dad's hometown of South Whitley for a snack. Couple of things to mention. First, they had awesome homemade root beer. The Spanish Dogs were pretty darn good too. Dad also enjoyed a old-fashioned chocolate soda. Finally, the car hops brought back memories of my first job at a B-K Root Beer stand. Oops :blushing:
2) No repercussions from the helmet purchase. I have to admit, I am a bit very scared. She was very upset on the phone, in fact, she was silent for something like thirty seconds. Now, she hasn't said any more about it. I am slightly convinced I am going to wake up with one of my swords pinning me to the bed. :001_unsur
3) I saved the important one for last. Grandma is still in Lutheran Hospital. They are still waiting on some results to come back and they still haven't got her BP stabilized. After dinner and a movie with Skklog and Minxy, Mrs. Blackfoot and I stopped by to see if she was awake at 2330 tonight. She was and was still looking as good as this afternoon, which is a lot better than yesterday. Our congregation has a telephone tie-in so ones can listen in on the meetings if they can not attend for some reason. Thus, Mrs. Blackfoot and I are going to head up to the hospital in the morning and listen to the meeting with her so that she won't miss it. Just a little something we can do to hopefully help out a little. We can't do anything for her physical needs right now, so we can attempt to attend to her spiritual ones.

Just a little something we can do to hopefully help out a little. We can't do anything for her physical needs right now, so we can attempt to attend to her spiritual ones.

Nice Roll, Rob.
Updates:
I saw some yesterday, but the idiots at the checkout counter wanted to charge me $10 for one 12oz bottle. They said it was because of singles. This grocery sells singles, and has them on the shelf to sell as singles or as a make-your-own 6 pack. Well, the make your own six pack is only $8.99, so with am I supposed to pay $10 for one?! They (the girl and the bagger) told me it was because one is more expensive! Yeah, per bottle! Not more expensive than an entire six pack!

In other news, there was a yard sale going on down the street the other day, and Mr. Crafty took 6-year-old crafty down to it to see what they could see. A short time later, little crafty ran home to me, saying that he and daddy found something that I was going to like and he needed a dollar. I gave him the dollar and he went flying down the street again.
Meanwhile, I get excited. What will it be? A second sewing machine? Some awesome kitchen gadget? A vintage apron?
A short while later, they return home. The item I was really going to like is...
An Old Spice shave mug for his shave soaps. Crafty is not amused. :glare:

Quick story for y'all from the Land of Canadia.... aka: A Classic Chip Moment for us to share.
Mr. & Mrs. Chip are just back from an Alaskan cruise with her parents as I mentioned elsewhere. They had a great time (despite some light sea sickness), food was good, wildlife was wild, etc. So, anyhow, 'bout half way into their trip, Chip & Mrs. are on the elevator and this "disproportionately wide" women gets on with her husband and some other guy unknown to them all, pushing the Chips to the back of the elevator.
They get to the next stop/floor and the guy in front gets off to let the disproportionate woman and her husband off. Not noticing that guy #1 has gotten back on the elevator, Chip turns to Mrs. Chip and says, "Well, at least there's room for three more people now." I think Mrs. Chip almost sucker punched him at that point.

in be... - oh, too easy
oh that's not good at all. our neighbor's AC has been out this weekend, the repairmen is supposed to be here today, but she's been sleeping on the kitchen floor all weekend because she has a window unit in there.
all she had to do is walk across the street, our couch is secretly a transformer ya know....
But here's good news! God bless electrical engineer spouses! Mr. Crafty happened to know exactly what the problem was, as our neighbor had the same problem a few weeks ago, and therefore knew exactly what he needed to fix it.
Unfortunately, no one that carried the part would talk to him because he wasn't a contractor. One eventually let him have a part that would work for the moment because he mentioned who he worked for, but still wouldn't let him have THE part. Long story short, he came home, fixed it, is off back to work and will order the part online.

without socks. I wanted to get some of the Injinji (?) socks that can go with the shoes, but they didn't carry any, but I'm not too concerned with ordering those online, as far as size goes.
And now that I know for sure what size of the KSO I wear, I'm not too concerned with ordering more in the future online.
If I decide on another style (don't see it happening, though), I'll feel compelled to try them on first. The only other style appealing to me are the Sprints, but even if I do, it will be quite awhile before I get anymore

Oh, it went well! Ronald McDonald made a grand return from his long sabbatical.
The Captain doesn't "know nothing about nothing". Plausible deniability. He does stuff to help cover our six though. One officer is not in the loop at all. Another one is in on it, but not involved. Then, there is the our triad of evil, the two other officers and myself.
Sam 1, (Samaritan 1, our helicopter) took off for a scene flight. As it took off, I thought, let's take Ron to the helipad. I grabbed the department digital camera and the three of us met. We called the Captain ad had him face the CCTV camera another direction so we wouldn't be on video. Next, we worried about the outsider catching us since he was on floors. So, I called the one that doesn't get involved. He was posted in the Lobby. I asked him to call the other officer down to give him a restroom break. That got him out of the way. I put the ramps down and opened the doors while the other two got Ron. I then took off to the 8th floor roof, West Hall. They wheeled him out on a hand truck and uncovered him. I took a couple of shots from the roof and they took one with a cell phone. I went back down and called the elevator, which opened as they brought Ron around the corner.
It was a picture perfect operation! As we rode the elevator to the sub basement, we were laughing. What a silly thing to get fired over. Meanwhile, I get excited. What will it be? A second sewing machine? Some awesome kitchen gadget? A vintage apron?
A short while later, they return home. The item I was really going to like is...
An Old Spice shave mug for his shave soaps. Crafty is not amused. :glare:
:lol::lol::lol:
*buuuuurrrp*
*burp* Just finished a Sam Adams Summer Ale.
I'm a little disturbed by the support for Mr. Crafty here. No, really, I don't care. I'm glad he likes it. He had been telling me he needed another mug for his soaps.
In other news, our air conditioner broke last night. If you aren't paying attention, we live in Florida. Today is going to suck. Perfect day to get started on SBjr's hat, I suppose. Too hot to do anything else.
:001_cool: Outstanding on the hat, apologies on the AC.
Drum roll, please! I have now caught up on reading this thread. Somehow...
No you haven't.

That definitely sounds like Chip.
In other news of state, the Second Annual Czardom Summit will begin tomorrow in Las Vegas... I'm flying out early tomorrow morning for 10 days, so I probably won't be around here much other than during time spent in the airport. Regrettably, Overlord Chippence of the Lime-wearing-lol-Cats will not be in attendance this year.
Understood. I'll monitor from the dacha in South Carolina.
So, try not to miss me too much. For urgent Czardom matters, see Jesse. And remember, I'll be getting daily security updates.
We monitor where we are.
I warned you! Don't... make... me... come... back... there... :a13:

So, I called the one that doesn't get involved. He was posted in the Lobby. I asked him to call the other officer down to give him a restroom break. That got him out of the way. I'm here in Hilton Head, SC, with my family, fellow B&Ber Donner and his wife, and several of our friends from graduate school and their kids. All is well, though getting here was quite a chore.
Batch 24 shaves pretty well, though I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces, and of course the beach water is sulfurous and buffered with something so it's quite different from the water in Denton.
My new Semogue brush didn't make it to Denton before I left for the beach, so I'll be another week behind the curve breaking it in.
And now I'm gonna run out to the beach to retrieve the sun shades before
the incoming tide gets them.

My son recently moved to southwest Vegas. One night while we were getting him moved in we went to the Texas de Brazil (http://www.texasdebrazil.com/) Brazilian Steakhouse. Amazing experience. Pricey, but very easy to overdose on protein. Please note that numerous animals will be harmed to present your meal should you decide to have dinner there...

He was the villian in an awesome video game called The Neverhood. It was all done in claymation and was a puzzle type game. You started out as a character that wakes up and have no clue what you are supposed to do. You click on things until you figured out how to get out of the room. That is how the whole game worked. It was awesome. It was from the '90s and probably won't run on anything modern.

Home made bread is so cool. That was one of the last things I did for my sister just before she died. She really wanted some home made bread and had her favorite recipe taped to her bread machine. Of course, I baked it in the oven, not the bread machine. I felt so bad though that that sweet little thing could only eat a bite or two. She crowned me the bread king for the rest of the week.
