Kinda makes you wonder who canceled at the last minute for us to get the tier 2 invitations.
Nah, B&Bers are never tier 2 in my book, you gents always come first!
Mornin' everyone.
I got sent home yesterday. Pulled a muscle in my neck/back and the Rx I'm taking is on the list of meds that drivers are not allowed to use while driving.
Sorry to hear this. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
So, in other words:
a) you're going to be posting more often
b) you're posts are going to be particularly amusing due to the medication
Feel better & post often!
:yesnod:

I'll see what I can do.
The incident occurred while helping out another driver who needed a ride to his regular truck after getting some repairs. He had a loner truck and moved EVERYTHING into the loner. He had more stuff in his loner than I have in my regular truck. We had my entire bunk area covered and then put his microwave and 12 volt cooler on the floor in front of the bunk. His tools went in between the seats and some were strapped to the catwalk behind the cab.
When we got to his truck, four hours later, I was handing his stuff down to him and must have pulled something then, because I didn't notice it too much until morning. The next night I could not sleep due to the pain.
I'm hoping to be back at work on Monday.
So, is this one on the company? Even better. :w00t:
Now, I've waited all day for Lou and Blake to show up with beer, and no one in sight. :frown: On top of that, the Reds just lost. :frown: Ra, why dost thou spite me?
Sorry, I got caught in traffic.

You're not kidding!
So, today, my dad and I went for a trip. Mrs. Blackfoot went too! :w00t: It is great to have my b**** riding with me. *she's not looking.* :scared: We rode two hours up into Ohio to a place called Hudson's Leather. I had a pair of chaps but, I got them really cheap off of Ebay. They were made of patch leather and are already falling apart. They got me through last season, which is all I asked. Anyhow, we rode up there to buy me a new pair. It was a little odd, two chicks screwing around, adjusting and stuff, on the chaps. What made it weirder is my wife sitting there watching. Women aren't supposed to grab you like that without your wife coming unglued. Seriously, it was a little awkward.
When we left, we stopped at an old diner that we had passed on the way up. My dad was excited because, as soon as he saw the place as we rode by, he recognised it. Apparently, when he was a little kid, his grandpa and dad went to Lake Erie with our cousins and go fishing a few times. On the way up, they would stop at this diner and eat. Dad had forgotten about it, but recognised it instantly. So, we had to stop and eat there. Apparently, it opened in 1965 and hasn't changed much. It was neat.
We had a good day. :thumbup1:

Sounds like a nice ride today, Blake.
I'm still kind of out of it with this Rx. It just makes me want to sleep. I think I will try going without it tomorrow.
Speaking of mummified cats, wouldn't it be a lot easier to just buy some ceramic or porcelain ones. I especially like the kind that can be used as a door stop, not sure what they are made of. The cat that we have won't stay put long enough to hold the door in place, but will open any door left ajar.

Yum! Beer!
You see, B&B is an old-fashioned corner of reality. It harkens back to a time when a six pack of beer carried much more weight than politics and bribery. It feels good to be home!
Still does; it just depends on your point of brew, I mean view...
... I hate moving.
Me too. That's one reason why we've been in the same house for 25 years...
My lovely wife has decreed that if we ever build a new house, we're going to move just the necessaries to the new one and burn the old one to the ground...
And at one point, including after placing her inside, the oldest cat thought we were going to see my nephew. She spent the first 24 hours hunkered down under the bathroom sink. Every now and then she would peer through the bathroom door to look around, as if she were looking for a kid.
Smart cat!
Now, I've waited all day for Lou and Blake to show up with beer, and no one in sight. :frown:
They probably decided to just stay home and drink it themselves. Easier that way...

I don't know if there are any where you are at, but Fresh Market carries Virgil's and several other specialty sodas. There are a couple others that I have been wanting to try as well. Moxie is a carbonated beverage, and the analogy may very well be it is the Lilac Vegetal of the soda world. There are those who hate, and those who love it. Which camp will you fall in? My best taste description would be a combination of root beer, birch beer, and Dr. Pepper.
What is the difference between ginger ale & ginger beer?

What is the difference between ginger ale & ginger beer?
Ginger beer is much spicier, much less sweet, and in some rare cases, may be alcoholic.

Here is an interesting update. As you may remember, I was having trouble replacing my clutch cable because I needed an extended one. I found a rather disorganised shop that had a few resources to try. He wasn't having any luck and was going to have to order a new stock one and ship it to California to have a custom extended one made. It was going to cost me over $100.
Well, I noticed that the old one I have is starting to fray. It isn't going to last too much longer. I have made a few attempts to contact this man unsuccessfully. I am sure this guy is great, but not a business man. I tried calling some more without any success. I was starting to really worry about what to do. I remembered seeing a extended one on Ebay that was the last one they had. So, this morning, I decided to do a search of Ebay and see if any popped up. Guess what? I found a few extended ones and bought one for $20 with shipping! :w00t: I hope mine lasts until the new one gets here. I, of course, am too stupid to stop riding it until it's safe.

Moxie is a carbonated beverage, and the analogy may very well be it is the Lilac Vegetal of the soda world. There are those who hate, and those who love it. Which camp will you fall in? My best taste description would be a combination of root beer, birch beer, and Dr. Pepper.
That actually sounds interesting to me......
I believe Ginger Beer to be much spicier.
As spicy as Blenheim Ginger Ale and the other golden giner ales?

We weren't supposed to learn it either, but our prof. was "old school" and believed it was necessary to know for historical reasons (and to reinforce being careful.... you don't want a mouthful of e. coli or anything else for that matter). A student complained a couple of years later to OSHA and the prof had to change his ways, but by then he was due to retire anyhow.

All together now..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REi-zunDHKk
This was exactly what I thought of.
Well, here is my update from the last 24 hours I've missed. There is a class we have to take once a year for work. I goofed and didn't realise mine was about up. One of my officers was set to go to one last Thursday morning and I was going to crash that one. Unfortunately, I looked it up and it was actually Wednesday morning. So, we missed it. This cool chick at work is one of the instructors that teaches this. So, Tim told me about one coming up that she may be teaching for another group. For some reason, I have become renown for having a way with the ladies. So, I was to see if she would sneak us in on the class. Of course, no one can resist the Blake, and she did it. Funny thing was, she didn't even know she was supposed to teach that one. Therefore, now she says she owes me because I saved her butt.
This all went down Wednesday morning. The class was scheduled for 1800 hours, Wednesday afternoon. Tim and I decided to go to this three hour class, and then go to dinner before returning to go to work.
I had to wash my uniforms, so I had to stay up late. I wasn't on here because I got wrapped up on a project while waiting on my laundry. I had to get up early to go to this class. So, little sleep. It was 80 degrees and I, of course, rode my bike. Four miles out of town, my clutch cable broke again. :cursing: I was already pushing it to get there on time. After sitting for twenty minutes, I got the bike on the rode somehow and was able to force it through the gears to get it home. I through my pack in the trunk of my car and tore out of there. I was only twenty five minutes late. I have no earthly idea how I did that, but I may have stretched some Indiana traffic codes. :whistling:
Interesting, my friend wasn't sure she wanted to have both Tim and I in her class together. I was laughing and promised to be good. She, of course, pointed out I couldn't say it with a straight face and she was right. Once there, I realised why she had reservations. We had a blast. This class was for non-violent de-escalation and approved defensive techniques. As Rob probably knows, this is a little useless in the real world. Our instructor had to point out that I was the only person she has ever seen successfully use some of the techniques. Tim then pointed out that the reason was, just before I threw the patient to the ground, I realised I was dead square in a camera. Sadly, he was right. The rest of the attendees were women who have no direct patient contact. So, they were asking "what if" questions. Tim and I were deemed the experienced experts by the instructor. Therefore, she made Tim perform the "attack" in question and I had to respond. She didn't tell us what she wanted to see. She wanted the women to see how it worked in the real world, I guess. We all had to demonstrate these "approved" techniques. Afterwards, Tim and I would show each other how it really was done and attempted to beat the hell out of each other. We had a blast.
After class, Tim and I went to a bar. We convinced our friend, AKA the instructor, to go with us. We had a blast and saw a corner of her psyche she doesn't let out at work. It was funny, but not a surprise.
At work, Tim and I are running on little to no sleep. We were jacked up and were in rare form all bloody night. The Captain kept saying, "What is wrong with you, Blake?" He was laughing at the time, but accusations of illegal drug use were made. Before I knew it, I no longer had a way, I was the way and the term Blakeshido was coined. Apparently, I get rather cocky when I am higher than a kite from sleep deprivation. I can't help it if everyone loves me.
It was a very fun night and slightly helped relieve the bitterness of my motorcycle incident.
