I also hate April Fool's jokes, especially when you don't realize thats it's April 1.
I got sent to the principal's office once, because I beat up a kid who tried to pinch me.
See the way to avoid that is to threaten the would be pincher with a beating.
It's not a collection, it's a passion!

Yeah, too bad you get lumped in with all the jokers who had custom titles. It was actually fun when you were the only one who was demonstrably boring (or amazingly careful in your word choice).

I see you guys were fairly active. I decided to take a day off from B&B. So, here is a summary.
Saturday night, Skklog and I went out to eat with our family in celebration of our grandparent's 50th anniversary. I had to go to work that night too. Plus, after work on Sundays, I change into my suit and drive straight to church. So, I packed a suit and my uniform and sent them with my wife. I finished up and went to leave. Well, the motorcycle had issues. I fixed the one problem , but my headlight wouldn't work. So, here I am in a tux working on my motorcycle. Finally, I give up. This is when I realise my car keys are with my uniform in my wife's car. :cursing:
The night went well. The only interesting thing was a stabbing that was brought in. Three men abducted a man hostage to rob him. He was able to get a kitchen knife and stab one man. The other two, who had guns, fled. The stabbed man died pretty quickly.
After church and lunch, I spent the afternoon playing Guitar Hero with my wife. We had got I and II with guitars so that she could play with me. It has been nearly a year and we had never actually played. I used to play the game with a friend all the time. That was a long time ago.
It was a fun weekend.

Went out disc golfing this weekend at an old park where I used to live 18 holes and for not playing in years scored out one under. To celebrate I bought a nice disc to start fresh in MD.

What are you saying? I have to pay for the privilege now?

http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=49&pictureid=902
was mowing and doing general yard work Saturday evening, had to cut down some branches that broke during the snow and ice a few weeks ago, drug them across the yard, and commenced to cutting them smaller and removing smaller branches and throwing them onto a pile to dry and burn later.
One particular piece didn't have a lot of smaller branches to cut off, was pretty good sized, but I only had to throw it a few feet....
one acute, excruciating sharp pain later and yard work was done for the day week
I figured either torn or badly pulled muscles
that happened Saturday, I took that picture yesterday - 3 days later

We have now spent our first week in the new apartment in the big city (to me anyhow, this is a big city). I think we are both adapting to it well, and enjoying it. The cats really like the new place. It took them a day or tow to get used to everything, but they seem to really like it now. We still have boxes everywhere, but we are slowly getting things sorted out, and finding a place for everything. Now I know why we stayed where we did as long as we did. I hate moving.

Leave the unpacked boxes in the middle of the living room till they are unpacked and the stuff is put away.
If you put an unpacked box "out of the way, to unpack later";
1. Just throw it away, you didn't need the junk that was inside
2. That box will still be unpacked when you make your next move

Remarkably well. It took longer than I wanted, but by Sunday afternoon everything was moved. I think both cats thought we were going to the vet. And at one point, including after placing her inside, the oldest cat thought we were going to see my nephew. She spent the first 24 hours hunkered down under the bathroom sink. Every now and then she would peer through the bathroom door to look around, as if she were looking for a kid.

Mornin' everyone.
I got sent home yesterday. Pulled a muscle in my neck/back and the Rx I'm taking is on the list of meds that drivers are not allowed to use while driving.
That doesn't stop some..at least you did the right thing. Some drivers are really wacked out. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Ouch! I hope you're feeling better soon.
So, in other words:
a) you're going to be posting more often
b) you're posts are going to be particularly amusing due to the medication
Feel better & post often!
:lol::lol::lol:

I'll see what I can do.
The incident occurred while helping out another driver who needed a ride to his regular truck after getting some repairs. He had a loner truck and moved EVERYTHING into the loner. He had more stuff in his loner than I have in my regular truck. We had my entire bunk area covered and then put his microwave and 12 volt cooler on the floor in front of the bunk. His tools went in between the seats and some were strapped to the catwalk behind the cab.
When we got to his truck, four hours later, I was handing his stuff down to him and must have pulled something then, because I didn't notice it too much until morning. The next night I could not sleep due to the pain.
I'm hoping to be back at work on Monday.

Contrary to the rumors, I am still alive. Sort of. I figure one more month and I can get some semblance of a RL again and then I'll rejoin you all for a round of B&B crazies. Ugh, sorry, got to go... work is calling again.
Later,
Doug
Great to see you are still doing alright.

You know, every time you don't have time for a SlagleRoll, skklog kills a kitteh. Just sayin' :whistling:
Well if that's the case I'll have to make less time for them.
Sounds like a man who likes his cats made out of porcelain.

Ray, congrats on feeling more and more each day like you're at home.
Dennis, here's to a speedy recovery!
Now, I've waited all day for Lou and Blake to show up with beer, and no one in sight. :frown: On top of that, the Reds just lost. :frown: Ra, why dost thou spite me?

At a guess, I'd say it has something to do with the Hopi Rain Dance you were performing in the back yard last night. :whistling:

Thanks. We really needed the change. It's unfortuante the way things worked out, but you live and you learn.
Ra, why dost thou spite me?
Sorry, can't help you out there. That's not my area, and Seth loves to interfere with everything.

Neat! He did pretty much nothing today, but gets a free pass from the grand slam last night. :w00t:

Fair point. But the rain dance didn't work, either. :crying:

Who's Seth? I'm envisioning Fox's newest sitcom: Ra and Seth. Like the odd couple, but with pyramids and mummified cats.

You know, the fellah who killed Osiris. Always a troublemaker.
LOL, that would be funny.
