I posted this over at SRP but thought some folks here might be interested too.

After a brief worry at the weekend when the certifcate for my razor arrived without the razor, I came home from work today to find a package waiting for me.

After tearing it open, I was faced with this. A Maestro Livi 8/8 ATS34 razor, with worked back, and Briar Olive scales. Also 2 DVDs of the Maestro at work. The craftmanship is superb, and the attention to detail is very good too. On one end of the wooden box is a small version of the Briar Olive scales - presumably so when you have a large collection you can see from the outside of the box what's inside.

Thanks to both the Maestro and Lynn for making my day.

It shaves beautifully and is just the right weight, well for me at least. I ordered this purely on seeing photo's and on the Maestro's reputation, and I can confidently say that finances permitting I'll be ordering from him again in the future.

Here are some photo's, for you to look at. Now if you'll excuse me I have an urgent appointment with a pot of Proraso soap and a brush!

Bob,

I'll see it tonight. It's just frustrating to see little red x's. There were some razors offered for sale at SRP today I might have been interested in, but again, little red x's.

This razor is so beautiful!
If anyone is thinking of just putting one on the shelf, I would be happy to keep it warm and comfortable. I will promise to ensure that there is no rust and the edge is well maintained.
