What is the date code on this one?

No clear date code mark, but there is an "8" where the date code would usually be. Since this is the plastic plated version, I think late 1970s (possibly ealry 1980s) is the most likely date of manufacture.

You are right! I just learned another idiosyncrasy of the Gillette developers, a non-standard place to mark the date of manufacture: it is a C2 and was under the silos as you said.

I would say 1982. This price seriously cannot be beat. For those worried about the plastic on the head, I've had both Super Adjustables and could not tell you the difference in the shave.
