As I did back in the 60s and 70s I have come back to the injectors. I am now up to 3 and holding. I just love the mechanics of loading a blade. And for some strange reason they remind me of a disposable(probably because the blades are small). I am currently using the CVS blades and find them to be very smooth. I have been getting 8 three pass shaves. But I am not giving up my DE shaving. I use a Merkur 11C in between. I only wish some company would start making the injectors again but with quality. Like the Gillettes the Schicks seem to last forever.

I love the shave but hate the feel. The shave is too good to ignore, but they feel like shaving with cartridge razor, IMHO.

I do think "The Injectors" would make a great name for a band.

lol :biggrin1:

If a company did come out with injectors now, they would probably have multiple spots to put a blade in, and you'd have to inject 2 or 3 blades each time you changed the blade(s).

Here in Japan I see injector blades absolutely everywhere, but I have yet to see a razor.

Yes, the Injectors are great shavers. I have been using a Slant/Injector only rotation now for about a month.

My Gillettes are sitting on the bench, wondering if they will ever get back into the game!

I also enjoyed my injector, a Shick Adjustable (M2) from the 60's until a few years ago when I erroneously thought blades were no longer available. It was in rotation with my Atra which I liked also.

I have recently acquired a Type E and an Ever Sharp Hydro-Magic which I have not tried out yet. I recently put a blade in my M2 and when it wears out, I will try one of the others. I plan to have an injector in rotation with my new (to me) DE's. One at a time, as blade swapping is a bit of a hassle.
