I bought some Proraso aftershave balm a little over a month ago. I like it ok, its not may favorite AS, but its in my rotation. I use it about once a week, but I seem to be flying through it. I don't use much, just a little on my finger tip for each side of my face. But, it seems like whenever I pick up the bottle it has gone down another 1/4". I don't seem to have this problem with any other aftershave in my collection. I have once I use all the time, and lay on thick, and those seem like never ending reservoirs of goodness. Its not really a problem, or something I'm looking for help with, just an observations... To be honest I feel cheated like the bottle's walls are thick, and made to look like there is more in a bottle then in actuality... I'm probably wrong, but thats what it seems like right now. Anybody else have experiences like this with proraso or any other product?

The AOS cremes come in the tub but its rounded at the bottom so there is a little bit less than you think. (it does make it easier to get all of the cream out)

Does anyone live with you, who may be using the Proraso?

If not, then perhaps you are sleep shaving.

Can't think of anyone who would be using it! I'm betting on the sleep shaving theory. Once when I was a kid my sister said that I came in the bathroom while she was in the shower, and went pee in the toilet, then left! I have no memory of this!

Maybe your bottle has a "slow leak"

In actuality, the Proraso ASB bottle is a standard size, just appears to be large. Its thick, curved glass holds less than you think. I've only used mine a dozen times maybe, and it looks like I've used it every day for the past three months.

Well, no matter how thick the walls are, or the size, there is 3.5 oz of stuff in the bottle. Its the same with Aqua Velva. Thick glass bottle that holds 3.5 oz. On the other hand, my Clubman Bay Rum is in a similar size bottle, but holds 6oz. Naturally, you will go through the Proraso or Aqua Velva faster. Theres less of it!

yeah, I see that your math works, but I don't like the way I feel when I see that line of aftershave go down so fast! When I bought it, I looked at it and thought it would last me forever, now it seems like it will not last 6 months

Net content is just that-net content. That means that I don't see what would be wrong with any bottle design if its content is clearly indicated.

It's 100ml, no matter what the shape of the vessel.

It's nice stuff, but I find myself reaching for the Musgo Real balm more these days. It's more expensive, but I use a bit less per application, so it evens out.
