Shaving Products in NYC

This is a follow-up on another post with a different question....

I have a daughter and SIL living in Brooklin and we are only about 2 1/2 hours away, so we get up there fairly frequently.

Are there any places, other than The Art of Shaving, where they would have quality badger brushes for sale?

I am thinking Rooney, Kent, and Plisson, etc.

Any place with a broad range of soaps?

Cambridge Chemists is pricey, but has a huge selection. For soaps and creams, Pasteur's Pharmacy (two locations) has a tremendous selection with internet pricing.

Both shops are within walking distance of each other on Lexington Avenue. I was actually in both of them today. Pasteur's is a tight squeeze but they have their brushes and blades up front at the checkout counter.
Cambridge Chemists is the friendlier and more well informed in my experience. Today I scored big there with 5 packs of Swedish Gillettes. I would have bought more, but that was all that they had. :biggrin:
BTW there is also an Art of Shaving shop near the corner of Lexington and 62nd Street.

there's also an art of shaving store in the shops at coloumbus circle. and from there you can go through central park to mickey mantles (http://www.mickeymantles.com/about.asp).
