I live in Po-Dunk-erton-field-ville, OR and have to get all of my shave supplies via the internet. I recently acquired a Gem Junior and have a 1912 (don't expect them to be much different) on the way.

I want to try these babies out and compare them to my DEs, but I've got one problem - no sharp-cutty-thing. Where do you guys buy your SE blades, and which ones should I get? The sites I've used to order DE blades don't stock SE, and there are no brick-and-mortors near me.

I was in Walgreens a few days ago, and saw some in there. Looked online and they carry them as well. They are by Personna, which is a pretty good brand for DE.

I recommend grabbing the nearest phone book and call every store with a pharmacy. Chances are good at least one will have blades.
I live in a tiny little area as well, and I have more places to get SE blades than DE:rolleyes:
As far as what to get, I'd say anything stainless is a good start. Then you only have to worry about the shave, not the futile fight to keep carbon blades from rusting.

Thanks, I'll try local pharmacies.

Not the most economical way to buy them, but for a test drive it seems reasonable.

These are the same as the "Ted Pella" blades you can buy in bulk.

Interesting site. Lots of blades I haven't seen before. Although, I'm not the biggest fan of the term "gourmet shaving"

Hello from Boulder Colorado.

For my Gem circle G I went to my nearest Walmart. They had Persona blades in the shaving section so that is what I bought and used.

I keep on being impressed with what Walmart has to offer in my city. Good value at a reasonable price.
