Gillette Old Type with new blades ?

Hi,

I was wondering if Gillette Old Type excepts new blades like, IP, Derby etc... or do I need the old three holes blades ?
I hope it's not a stupid question... :blushing:

Blades have evolved with the razors and most of the blade companies have added to the hole patterns so that they work with the modern razors as well as the razors that have evolved over the years.

So yes the new blades will work just fine with the old type razors.
One word of caution is to make sure you tighten down on the blade and make sure it is sitting square in the razor.

Some folks say they have shimmed the blades but I have never found this to be necessary.
